We’ve noticed this occur from time to time in our construction tech product.

It can be hard to overcome, because as a founder you want to be responsive to your customers - especially during early growth.

The seduction is often to do with being sucked into higher level enterprise sales customers, with bigger ticket prices and a longer list of demands and requirements.

We just killed a custom integration we built to secure our first overseas client. It was 10 years old and I was the only person in the company that could still remember why we built it.
