Come along to the levelling up consultation at the Kirkstall Abbey Deli Market 1st May 12-3 and see the council's draft bid.
How much of the park should be car park?
πππππππππ
How else are you supposed to get there π€

@davidflatman We got some magnetic clip on perspex secondary glazing that you genuinely don't notice, definitely notice less noise and draughts https://t.co/APESQadOIG
Council discussion today, should more transport money be spent in the suburbs rather than the city centre?

Revealed: the energy secretary met oil bosses for dinner days after COP26 to encourage them to keep drilling in the North Sea
The meeting aimed to reassure industry the government wants oil & gas investment, despite pledges to move away from fossil fuels

A British Prime Minister using his office to criticise the verdict of an English jury. Crude Culture War sabre rattling unashamedly deployed as an obvious distraction from the scandal of the Downing Street flat. Oh, and here's a black woman to hate.
@PaulChatterton9 Although I kind of agree with you, I really don't think we should be attacking parents or dismissing their reasons for driving
Our system encourages driving and parking is a byproduct
Schools weren't built to accommodate so many cars so neighbouring streets get jammed
To reduce disruption to offices at Airedale House and nearby businesses we will be undertaking piling works this weekend in Zone 12 #Kirkstall
We will not be using an impact hammer over the weekend, which will significantly decrease noise levels for residents

@jimmoran@PeopleofLeeds We've also done it to reduce plastic
Not sure about any greenhouse gas improvement, but most milk floats are electric, which is good IMO
I'm not convinced most plastic is actually recycled, just shipped overseas and burnt most likely
@LowimpactOrg@zero_stevie @PaulChatterton9 There are tons of issues with the charging network, but I'm confused what the problem is here
My experience of charging is generally a positive one and most negativity I see tends to come from non EV drivers
@PaulChatterton9 I'd like to understand your POV?
@LowimpactOrg@zero_stevie @PaulChatterton9 I don't think I've ever actually done this though, I use zapmap which tells me which chargers are compatible with my car. The chargers here both look like type 2 to me but most non Tesla drivers know they can't use Tesla network so I still don't see what the issue is π€·ββοΈ
@zero_stevie @PaulChatterton9 Is that his point though? I often turn up to charge and find another car charging and either have to wait or go elsewhere, so having more chargers is surely better?
There was some discussion about 20mph limit on residential roads in Leeds. What stage is Leeds at with this?
