[Update on the German Woman Kidnapped in Somalia 7 Years Ago]

"Sonja Nientiet is a German nurse from the city of Hamm in the NRW region.

In 2018, while working for the Red Cross in Mogadishu, she was kidnapped, and until today, there has been no news about her. However, a new video has surfaced today.

At the end of December, we published a post on this page citing German media reports about this woman and the fact that she was still missing.

However, just half an hour ago, someone named Liban Osman commented on the post we had shared at the end of 2024.

In his comment, he posted a YouTube link, which contains a video of the missing woman. The title of the YouTube video suggests that it was uploaded today, March 26, 2025.

It is highly likely that Sonja Nientiet is alive. We hope that her plea reaches the German government and that she will be safely returned to her country.
