During the general election campaign Anas Sarwar was confronted by a party member who was furious with Wes Streeting's plan to open up the NHS to the private sector. The media, including BBC Scotland's Jenny Davidson, were at this event. The confrontation was hushed up.

This was a high-profile Labour party event. Had John Swinney been confronted by an angry SNP member at a similar campaign event on a key policy issue, it would have been all over the news. Sarwar effectively lied to the man in his response, making the exchange even more newsworthy.
