Greater Bakersfield Republican Assembly President. Mostly Bakersfield and CA conservative ideas here. I love my hometown - Bakersfield - for many reasons.
The most important reason you vote is for local elections... schools, city, and county.
There is certainly a local school election where your vote and your conversations with others would be decisive.
Voters are unbelievably egotistic.
They overestimate their importannce on national and statewide elections,,, at the cost of underestimating their effect on local elections.
It's crazy, but 25% of Republicans here in Bakersfield do not vote at all... and 40% don't vote unless President is on the ballot.
Keeping conservatives sufficiently mad at some national or local Republican... so they don't vote... is perennially important to Democrats and some Republican consultants.
You ignored the last bit Trump said about Kim: "He respects me."
Maybe true or maybe not.
But Kim is not disputing Trump's statement.
And not acting in any way to dispute it.
Even though he misses Clinton's blackmail reactors and fuel oil that Trump won't pay.
We assess Kim as "understandable".
On the other hand, Carney can't contain himself from showing that doesn't respect Trump.
We don't need arguments about why. or how much, or even egos. Not relevant.
Carney is not powerful, but is unreliable. He wants to bring China and the EU in on his side and the US will not stand for that.
Missile flight times made Canadian sovereignty conditional on respect and being "understandable".
You certainly won't be any use in a fight.
Without too much more of this, Carney's Canada will need a wall just like Mexico. And we will make Canada pay for it.
Just some respect and we don't need to go there.
FAFO means 51st, 52nd, 53rd... states.
Your choice, Canada. We choose our response.
Every marxist speech deconstructed:
1. I am the same as you.
2. Someone has wronged you. (Your oppressor)
3, Take unlimited revenge against them. Rob them, beat them, imprison them, kill them.
4. We must stick together
Déconstruction de tout discours marxiste:
1. Je suis comme vous.
2. Quelqu'un vous a fait du tort. (Votre oppresseur)
3. Exercez une vengeance sans limites à leur encontre. Dépouillez-les, frappez-les, emprisonnez-les, tuez-les. 4. Nous devons faire bloc.

Apparently I’m now classified as a domestic luxury item.
“WHO THE F*** WIRED THIS?!” is shouted at least once a month in the Konrad household.
And I also restore luxury yachts.
So, honestly, the classification checks out. 😜
You think AI is a new problem? In 1933, Germany's new National Socialist German Workers Party government contracted for International Business Machines (IBM) to conduct a census to find all the German Jews.
Count them, rob them, ghettoize them, kill them.
Read "IBM and the Holocaust" by Edwin Black.
It was all done with punched cards.
When a train pulled into an extermination camp, the train conductor gave the camp administration a deck of punched cards - the details of all the new arrivals.
Sort the cards for who to put to work.
Re-sort the cards for who to put to death.
Paper to tape, to laser, to solid state. Same problem of evil users to control. Nothing really new about it. Don't give up.

A friend of mine worked for the oil giant Unocal. (Union Oil Company of California).
His 1990's email was [firstname]@unocal.com.
I thought that was pretty cool in a big corporation.
In 2005, Chevron swallowed up Unocal and my buddy's email became [firstname1]@chevron.com.
I asked, "Why not [firstname]@chevron.com?"
He said some guy in Brazil had it.
About a year later, my buddy's email changed to [firstname]@Chevron.com.
I called and asked "What happened to the guy in Brazil?"
He answered, "I'm not telling."
Hmm... so gas prices are high because we're FINALLY doing something about an asshole terrorist nation that we should've dealt with fifty years ago instead of kicking the can down the road-like all prior administrations-for our kids to deal with once Iran's got nukes...
So obviously the solution to these temporarily high gas prices are to vote for the Ban Oil, ACAB/Defund the Police, Trans the Kids, Make Crime Legal, Lindsey is Innocent Because Mercury Was in Retrograde, Ban the Guns, Tax You To Death, Make Sidney Sweeny Wear a Burqa, Suck The Fun Out Of Everything, Mask Mandated Lesbian Bar, Let Your Whole Town Burn Down, Import All The Illegals Possible, Party.
And none of this is to say that republicans are good. No. Most of them suck. But at least they aren't belligerent meddling assholes who want to destroy me and everything I love. If the republicans weren't such bum ass bums we wouldn't be having this discussion before mid terms, but I'll take corrupt bums over totalitarian control freak rainbow communism any day.
America can't have nice things because too many of us are dumb.
School District Elections are important.
The first map shows the Greenfield Union School District in Bakersfield, California.
Voters elect five Trustees. Areas B, D, and E have elections this year.
The second map shows the nine voting precincts inside Greenfield Trustee Area E.
This is how candidates divide the map and focus on a team in each precinct and the voters in the precinct.
5,091 registered voters. Based on history, fewer than 1,600 will vote. Fewer than 800 votes to win.
There are many ways to reach the voter.
Ballots mail out in two weeks.
@ZinCraig Years ago, I refereed AYSO soccer. I received a very useful piece of advice from another referee:
"Never talk to anyone you can't give a penalty."
Parents and Grandma would be in that category.
@Stellaaa The Seal Beach Police Substation you see at 0:06 was built by Seal Beach neighbors who donated the materials and built it together as volunteers in about 1990. "Captain Jack" Haley led the effort. We had a great time building it. Thanks to all who helped.
"Co-oppressed". Thanks.
Isn't the "oppressed - oppressor" concept just a dressed-up way to sell Envy and Revenge?
Someone has wronged you (let's call them or their class "your oppressor".) To correct this, we grant you unlimited revenge to steal from, beat, imprison, and even kill "your oppressor."
Good luck, civilization.
Envy and Revenge is the worst cycle in human nature.
