In 1923, Bryce Canyon experienced a partial eclipse during a total solar eclipse that passed along the Pacific coast. For our centennial year we’ve now come “full circle” with today’s “Ring of Fire” eclipse.

Yesterday featured unfortunately devastating flash flooding across SE New York. A rain gauge on Weather Underground just SE of Route 218 recorded 9.03" of rain, with rain rates peaking at 4.32"/hour.

This is a video of Sun night's aurora is shown in normal speed. I was able to make out the reds with my naked eyes which is very rare, especially given a half moon was out and I was just on the outskirts of town. What an amazing experience to lift my spirits!
