CrossNet Bapt Network with Copper Basin Bapt Assn packed and loaded 12 pallets of supplies and sent them to God’s Warehouse in Morristown. Financial gifts have surpassed $10,000.
Thanks to those who volunteered today to get this work done and get the supplies delivered.
Monday I begin as Interim AMS for CrossNet (Bradley Co) Bapt Network, TN. Pray that I can build relationships, help churches and pastors work through their grief in the death of their longtime AMS Phil Taylor, and prepare the way for a successful transition to a new AMS. Honored!
Thx to Pastor @joe_delph & his son Cooper & Floyd Conard who worked for over 4 hours moving my office to my home. Also, Claudia Womac, building supervisor @fbc_athens_tn worked to get my office and study packed up. In total, I had 130+ boxes of books, etc. I need to retire 😎
This morning at @fbc_athens_tn@gordonfort did a masterful job making the @SBCCP and @IMB_SBC real and on point. He along with 6 other missionary singles and couples engaged our people about reaching the nations. Thx to all of them!
OTD in 1680 the doors of the First Baptist Church Boston, MA were nailed shut by a court order. The local magistrates were not tolerant of those who supported Baptist "heresy." The church met outdoors in the cold and rain until the doors were unexpectedly opened weeks later.
@Rebecca02441242 I don’t push books, but read my book, entitled reclaimed church, and that will give you an idea into how I train pastors and churches in revitalization. Discipleship is a key issue, which I mentioned much throughout the book. Discipleship in the church is essential.
Sunday I announced my retirement from full-time church ministry, but staying to Aug. 25, per my deacons’ request.
I plan to start a Ch. Revitalization ministry, working with my state convention, local associations, and individual churches called ReClaimed Church Network.
Pray!
