If you had no direct experience with Philly sports fans and watched the 76ers as your only reference…you would be very confused about the lore and reputation of Philly sports fans. Maybe the new arena will have less tickets for opposing fans? #yikes#GoNYGoNYGo
Operators for Skill, the industry PAC associated with the skill game industry, gave $550,000 to Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania this winter, a conservative group that backs GOP primary challengers including this year.
We should not allow wagers on elections period. Allowing people to bet on things that they themselves can determine the outcome is the height of unethical behavior in betting. And it further degrades the importance of our elections. Prediction markets are the worst.
New from Votebeat PA: Delaware County is banning its poll workers from taking a financial stake in elections through prediction markets. The election director told me “they’re a pernicious, horrible factor” that belongs nowhere near elections. Story below.
This is a compelling read. A bit naive in parts but nonetheless fascinating. And its a massively important conversation. Having been part of PA’s sports betting and igaming law in 2017, I have some regrets, no doubt. And the wild west of gambling options now makes me cringe.
"As a society, we are making an enormously risky bet: that we can reap the rewards of a runaway gambling industry without paying any price; that, unlike every civilization that came before us, we can beat the house."
A NYT analysis of Polymarket since June found it was unusual to bet a significant sum that a U.S. strike would happen the next day
But on Friday, 150+ accounts bet at least $1k predicting a US strike on Iran by Saturday - suggesting insider trading

@katie_robertson@StephenJ_Caruso Cant wait for crawlers at the bottom of CNN, Fox, MSNOW cycling through odds for PA Gov like “PA GOV: Shapiro -100,000 votes or -500 on the ML” … and this opens up a ton of new verticals for them. Steve “The Shark” Kornacki gets his own 2 hour show! 😕 Nothing can go wrong here
I thought we were supposed to keep politics out of sport? Now we are just giving out fake peace awards? FIFA is the worst. God this is disgusting. Especially as we rip apart families here in the US. Why does the game I love have such a corrupt and awful governing body? #FIFAsucks
I stayed at a @Staybridge in Pittsburgh area last week to find the hotel had unregulated gaming machines in the lobby. As an @IHGOneRewards member…this was infuriating. Can we do better, please? I wonder how @IHGCorporate feels about this?
Truly honored & humbled to be recognized by @CityAndStatePA as one of their 2025 "40 In Their Forties" honorees. It’s a privilege to be on this list with so many outstanding leaders making an impact across Pennsylvania. Congrats to my fellow honorees

Good luck! Ironically, I am sitting at PHL with my 13 yr old taking a redeye to London for him to play w/ @NCESoccer in games against some academy teams in London this week! In a few years @ucwv_msoccer we will swing by Charleston for his official recruiting trip. 🦅 #proudalum
Here is the travelling party for our preseason tour of the UK. Our first test comes tomorrow afternoon at Finch Farm, the home of Everton Football Club.

@AlexiLalas Reporting news factually w/out bias is not “losing their way.” NPR & PBS are the last bastion of factual news/programming. It was not “bought” by left or right leaning mega-wealthy folks. That keeps it outside of the influence of the mega rich. I think folks should celebrate it.
@StephenJ_Caruso Gaming in PA has historically been a bipartisan endeavor…from 2004 and 2010 to 2017 and now in 2025. We have never expanded gaming without a 5-party deal. Especially when the overall revenue numbers from the gaming activity being regulated are in the billions of dollars.
