@mlbbowman We're all disappointed not seeing Sale tonight, but I understand the logic. A number of Braves have had success against Snell, so Weiss is hoping for that. Worse case, we come back to Atlanta with our two actual starters fully rested and the home crowd. Go get um tonight!
@OldAPG No matter what happens against the Dodgers, this was NOT a failed season! Weiss did a great job managing this team to a Division championship and getting us past the Phillies. That despite losing SEVEN starting pitchers to injury going back to spring training. Come on, folks!
@Uchihaddy I found out later in life that my father-in-law (RIP) had been drafted into the Navy during WWII even though he couldn't swim. I guess those were desperate times.
@TweetATherapist I met my future wife at work, so we knew all the same people. I learned that the women had a "book" of which men there to never be caught alone with. Not in stairwells, not in elevators. It really opened my eyes.
@lcranf I always enjoyed Van Note's commentary on Falcons radio, as well. After the play was called, he would talk about what the linemen did. It painted a great mental picture of the game.
@fitsoccerqueen Reminds me of a youth baseball coach I had. He would make us run laps in practice if we struck out in a game. I kept thinking "wouldn't some hitting instruction be a better use of time?"
@EPiloot I was once a part owner of a small business. One day I was talking on the phone to a potential client about a very large deal. Then in walks an employee saying "we are officially out of toilet paper!" I go on mute, hand her $20, go off mute and say "now Chet, about that deal..."
@RixxJavix I once had to travel to a meeting in a place we referred to as "one hour and 20 years behind". After a break, my coworker leaned over to me and whispered "don't shake hands with anyone after this, they don't wash their hands." It was kind of hard to concentrate after that.
