The price of an ultra-premium domain isn’t determined by traffic, comparable sales, or appraisals.
It’s determined by the operator who sees their future in it — and has the conviction to act.
Big win last week 🎯
Helped a well-known domain investor acquire a jaw-dropping one-word .COM via GoDaddy Domain Broker Service (DBS) as their buyer's broker.
1 unlisted, dormant gem of a domain.
8 phone calls.
21 emails.
38 days of steady back-and-forth with lawyers and owners.
Deals like this remind me 👇
🗨️Patience builds trust.
📞Consistency builds confidence.
💡Vision turns “maybe someday” into “let’s make it happen.”
Opportunities like this are rare - but they still happen when both sides stay professional, patient, and realistic.
Grateful to close our first deal together on the buy-side - and already working on several more acquisitions together 🚀
@domainpro@TonyNames I agree that "peritus" fits .ai. However, at the time the previous co was founded, the .com was unavailable and the .ai was available to hand register. Now that the .com and .ai are both acquirable, it will be interesting to see which one gets stronger interest.

I'm planning for an initial BETA launch on Oct 1st. Shortly after we'll be pushing this pretty heavily to end-users/collectors/builders etc.
Domain squatters!!1 Domain name investors and the secondary market in domain names are often misunderstood but critical for Internet commerce. Let's explore its significance and debunk some myths 👇
Hi Dan,
It’s very important to decipher between a cybersquatter (illegal) and a domain investor (Bona Fide Business).
You simply should not be conflating the two. It’s common misinformation so often people make this mistake. Perhaps you can edit the article to rectify this.
Your example of the TM lawyer squatting on https://t.co/cUqg74nzES is indeed self proclaimed cybersquatting and severely frowned upon within our industry and @ICADomains.
On the other hand Bona Fide Domain Investing is a very real investment for many individuals and entities. There are millions of valuable domains owned by investors that don’t infringe on trademark rights. For example, https://t.co/81piDwfxZu was sold by an investor for $8.5 million USD this year. This is NOT cybersquatting.
@domainpro If you haven't already, consider checking your Lipoprotein(a) and Apolipoprotein B levels. Lp(a) is good for gauging familial hypercholesterolemia and ApoB may be a better predictor of CVD risk than basic lipid panels. It's a long game.
@domainpro Higher than $50k IMO. How much higher depends on how long you'd want to wait😀. I haven't seen the winner's alias before, so decent chance an end user got it cheap.
@DInvesting@hypernames@afternic@GoDaddy@jamesiles Excellent question. I decided to check the listing in my Afternic account before responding to the fast-transfer auth email and saw that it had been lowered from $150k to $2999.
Just had a domain in my account triggered for Fast-Transfer Opt-In... at a price that I didn't set.
Afternic needs a comprehensive change log for audit and activity alerts.
