Here's one for all the nay-sayers:

The ONLY fixes made to this site (and the growth has continued significantly since then, its up YoY significantly) were around TTFB and speed of JS render (refactored, reduced).

You'll see loads of SEO's inexperienced in dealing with large scale sites proclaiming that CWV/site speed is irrelevant.

To a certain type of site, sure - it IS irrelevant - these people however are assuming that their experience in dealing with smaller sites, is a universal truth.

If your site has millions, to hundreds of millions of pages that DESERVE indexing (that's a separate question!) then site speed becomes critically important.

Therefore, the takeaway here is:
this isn't a "one size fits all" thing.

Nothing in SEO is! But if you work on massive scale sites, and Google has to put in too much effort to index your content, dont sleep on CWV!
