De ‘drop dead’ a ‘cigarette smoke’, é a jornada do meu primeiro relacionamento adulto, desde toda a empolgação e possibilidades do início até o lento desmoronamento e, por fim, o coração partido que veio com ele.

Enquanto fazia o álbum, fiquei pensando em como, em um relacionamento, tanto a alegria quanto a melancolia podem coexistir lado a lado. Foi catártico para mim, como compositora, explorar alguns dos sentimentos menos óbvios que vêm com o apaixonar-se. Este álbum também tem a minha primeira colaboração com um herói pessoal meu, Robert Smith. Tê-lo em ‘whats wrong with me’ e poder colaborar com ele foi nada menos que um sonho que se tornou realidade. Ainda nem consigo acreditar direito que isso aconteceu.

Este álbum encapsula um capítulo bastante formativo da minha vida, e quando as pessoas que o ouviram compartilham suas interpretações das músicas, isso me enche de orgulho. Isso é realmente a melhor coisa que eu poderia desejar: que essas músicas se tornem parte da história de outra pessoa e a ajudem a seguir em frente.

Muito obrigada por ouvirem este álbum. Espero que vocês também consigam se encontrar em algum lugar nessas músicas e fazê-las suas.”
