🌍 Antimicrobial resistance is increasingly shaped by and compounding other global challenges affecting our world.

A new risk assessment from @rivm identifies #AMR as the leading international public health risk for the Netherlands over the coming decade and highlights the links between AMR and climate change, conflict, infectious disease outbreaks, supply chain vulnerabilities and weakening international cooperation.

The report reinforces the need for stronger surveillance, investment in new antibiotics, preparedness and international collaboration.

At GARDP, we work across R&D, access and stewardship because tackling AMR requires solutions that extend beyond innovation alone. This work is made possible through the support of several governments and other funders, including the Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
