औरंगजेब चाहता तो पूरे मंदिर को तोड़कर, सारे अवशेषों को हटा कर, ज़मीन को एक दम समतल कर के भी मस्जिद बना सकता था।उसके पास न तो संसाधनों की कमी थी और न ही उसे उस समय कोई रोक सकता था।

उसे सिर्फ एक आदेश देना था और बादशाह सलामत का हुकम बजाते उसके सिपहसालार... बड़े ही कुशल तरीके से पूरे मंदिर को नेस्तनाबूत कर के, एक नयी नींव पर एक नयी मस्जिद का निर्माण करवा देते।

किन्तु, ऐसा नहीं किया गया!

क्यूँ...? क्यूंकि ऐसा किया ही नहीं जाना था।

अपने शत्रु को ख़त्म करने से ज्यादा मज़ा, उसका मानमर्दन करने में आता है। मृत्यु तो एक क्षण का दर्द दे कर, फिर आराम कर जाती है।

लेकिन अपने शत्रु को हर रोज, तिल तिल कर मरते देखना, शर्मिंदा होते देखना, उसके आत्मगौरव को छलनी होते देखना... इस सबका मज़ा कुछ और ही है।

औरंगजेब ने यही तो किया।

उसने भारत की आत्मा पर चोट की। उसने सनातन के आत्मसम्मान को अपने पैरों तले रौंदने का लुत्फ उठाया। पश्चिमी दीवार को जस का तस छोड़ दिया गया... बाकी तीन दीवारें नयी उठाई गयीं।

एक दीवार और तोड़ देता और नयी बना देता तो भला उसके खजाने पे क्या असर होना था...? पर यह नहीं करना था।

बाबर के खानदान में यह नहीं हुआ करता था। वहां राम मंदिर को आधा तोड़कर उसी के अवशेषों पर, मस्जिद बनाये जाने की आनुवांशिक परंपरा थी। आख़िर उस परंपरा से च्युत कैसे हुआ जा सकता था?

जजिया लगाने वाले आलमगीर से किसी भी तरह की ढील छोड़ देने की अपेक्षा करना, बेमानी था। नंदी को नहीं तोड़ा गया? आख़िर दूर से ही पता लगना चाहिये कि यह मस्जि़द, शिव धाम को रौंद कर बनाई गयी है।

औरंगजेब को लगता था कि जितना बड़ा साम्राज्य उसने खड़ा कर दिया है, अगर वह ख़त्म भी हुआ तो उसे ख़त्म होने में कई हजार वर्ष लगेंगे।

अर्थात हजारों वर्षों तक मंदिर के माथे पर रखी गयी मस्जिद रूपी यह जालीदार टोपी, हिन्दुओं को लज्जित करती रहेगी। उसकी 10 वाजिब गैरवाजिब औलादों में से कोई तो ऐसा निकलेगा ही जो साम्राज्य की सीमाओं को और आगे ले जाएगा।

रहीसही कसर वामपंथी इतिहासकारों ने पूरी कर दी। उन्होंने औरंगजेब को साफ सुथरा और नेक नीयत बताने के लिये, इतिहास के न जाने कितने पन्ने काले कर दिये।

जब तक शेर खुद लिखना नहीं जानेगा, इतिहास में वीरगाथाएँ तो शिकारी की ही लिखी जाएंगी। इन औरंगजेबी औलादों ने बड़े बड़े अक्षरों में लिखा... "आलमगीर तो टोपी सिलकर अपना खर्च चलाता था।" ... तो? क्या फर्क पड़ता है इस से?

वह अपने धर्म की शिक्षाओं का पालन कर रहा था। वही शिक्षाएं जो यह भी सिखाती थी कि काफिरों को जीने का अधिकार नहीं है। उन पर जजिया लगाया जाना चाहिये, और हर तरीके से उनका मानमर्दन किया ही जाना चाहिये।

इन औरंगजेबी मानस पुत्रों ने ऐसी लॉलीपॉप भारतीय जन-मानस को चटाई, जिसका स्वाद सदियों तक हम चटखारे मारकर लेते रहे और हर चटखारे में "आलमगीर जिंदाबाद" के नारे लगाते रहे।

खैर... अब आगे क्या?

अब ASI की सर्वे रिपोर्ट सार्वजनिक हो चुकी है। कथित मस्जि़द का हर हिस्सा, चीख चीख कर कह रहा है कि मैं ही शिव शंकर का विश्वप्रसिद्ध मंदिर हूँ।

वहां मिले 34 अभिलेखों में से एक अभिलेख फारसी में है जिसमें वो आदेश लिखा है जिस आदेश के तहत मंदिर तोड़ कर मस्जि़द बनाई गयी।

श्री राम मंदिर की तरह, मामला कोर्ट में है और पूरा विश्वास है कि कोर्ट का फैसला भी राम मंदिर कि तरह ही आयेगा।

Rani aunty survives by cooking food in weddings

Her young son was murdered by his wife & lover 8 years ago

Her other son also died by heart attack shortly after unable to bear the pain of his brother's death

An entire family ruined because of the woman her son married

Rani Aunty, living in Dwarka Delhi, fought the case all by herself in UP

Trial court convicted both the wife & her lover for the murder & sentenced them to Life

While the lover remained in Jail throughout the trial, wife had got bail

A year after the conviction, both applied for bail and suspension of sentence. HC suspended the sentence and gave bail to both of them saying the lover had already spent 7 years in Jail & wife had not violated bail during trial. She barely spent 2 years in Jail in total.

We @ekamnyaay took the case to Supreme Court with kind support of Advocate Sharian Mukherji who is representing Rani Aunty pro bono for us. Pleased to share that SC has issued notice. It was an uphill battle but Sharian ensured that a grieving mother is heard.

I hope we will be able to get Justice to Rani Aunty whose entire world collapsed because of this brutal and cold blooded murder.

I was dressed in a loose kurta, a white dhoti and had a thick beard, as in the picture. After taking dips in the sacred ponds and offering our prayers to Kadri Manjunatha, we completed our Poojay and were sitting inside the Devasthana.

A group of about twenty elderly European tourists entered with their guide. I heard German and instinctively turned around.

The guide began explaining, “This temple is dedicated to the famous Hindu god Shiva, here known as Manjunatha. He is one of the Trinity and one of the main gods.” Everything was fine until he continued, “Shiva has a wife named Lakshmi and two sons, Krishna and Balarama.”

My wife and I were stunned. We could not believe what he was saying.

I could not hold back any longer. I walked up to him and said in Kannada, in a firm voice, “Sir, have you done your homework? Shiva’s wife is Parvati and his sons are Ganesha and Kartikeya, also known as Skanda. If you are unsure, please ask someone here or read about it. Do not give incorrect information to the tourists.”

He looked visibly upset and seemed ready to respond. Before he could, I addressed the German group:

“Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, herzlich willkommen im hochverehrten Shiva Tempel von Mangaluru, dem Kadri Manjunatha Tempel. Es gibt eine kleine Korrektur zu den Aussagen Ihres Reiseführers.

Shivas Frau ist Parvati und nicht Lakshmi, und seine Söhne sind Ganesha und Kartikeya, nicht Krishna und Balarama.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Aufmerksamkeit und ich wünsche Ihnen allen einen schönen Urlaub in Indien.”

They applauded and thanked me for the correct information. One couple came over and spoke with my wife and me. To my surprise, they lived only 25 Kms from where we lived in Germany.
They even asked me to accompany them on their trip and explain things to them, but I politely declined since it was our family trip.

It was a surreal experience. I will never forget the expression on the tour guide’s face after I spoke clear German to the group. He was truly angry with me.
