@zone_astronomy The one on left is stuck into da base unlike da other. When fire fuses da heads, da 1 on right burns faster as fire n heat rises up as its slanting n curls it up thereby shifting its centre of gravity towards da l.h.s. one, causing it 2 keel over leftwards with added weight.
@chennithala@INCIndia@INCKerala You'll b happy 2 know dat my Late father, Shri V.K. Thankappan, who read with u in Mahatma H.S., Chennithala, had a roaring fly business of coconut related products in d '50s. Late Shri Ramakrishnan was ur common friend. Happy World Environmental Day !
Coconut is truly the “Kalpavriksha” of Kerala—from the coconut oil that defines our culinary traditions to the leaves that once roofed our homes. It is a tree that serves every aspect of life, from its roots to its fronds.
As someone born and raised in Alappuzha, the capital of the coir industry, this coconut culture is deeply woven into my memories and experiences. The coir industry was built on the collective strength of workers who once gathered and laboured together in our villages. This hard work, centered around the coconut tree, transformed Alappuzha into an industrial hub and provided immense strength to the region’s labour movements.
The coir sector continues to hold limitless possibilities. At a time when the world is increasingly turning towards eco-friendly products, every product derived from the coconut tree offers new avenues for livelihood and economic security.
On this World Environment Day, let us adopt a new habit: whenever we plant a tree, let us plant a coconut tree as well. Let us make full use of every resource it provides—its leaves, trunk, fruit, roots, and more—and integrate them into our industries and daily lives. Let us also remember that the very name Kerala is believed to have originated from Kera (coconut).
With a long-term vision for reviving our coconut-based culture and industries, the Coir Department will remain at the forefront of this mission.
World Environment Day greetings to everyone.
Ramesh Chennithala
@Dev_Fadnavis Sir, I wrote to you about the toxic 600+ AQI levels of chemical gaseous fumes emanating each night from the Taloja MIDC units, leading to slow-poisoning of unsuspecting citizens here.

@karnatakaportf She should be isolated in that housing society. Her employer should terminate her, knowing her mindset now. Such an anti-social she is. Not fit for civil society anymore.
