The Nairobi CBD remains too disorganised, matatus everywhere, matatu stages in every other street, hawkers on every pavement, street families, garbage is an eye sore, etc.

failures @ntsa, why are you arresting pedestrians only at selective places? Kindly come and arrest all these “low-life” people walking on Nairobi’s roads. Surely they should know by now that our great city is not meant for poor people or anyone who cannot afford a boda boda, an Uber or their own vehicle. Nairobi is clearly not for pedestrians.

I hope you are aware that my engineer brother @MuriraKinoti and his able team at @KURAroads, together with our world-class urban visionaries at @047County, have carefully designed Nairobi so that spaces meant for pedestrians can instead accommodate vibandas, boda bodas, Ubers, PSVs, parking bays, car washes with free sewage water generously provided for them, and food outlets.

So please, stop confusing people with selective enforcement. Either provide and protect proper pedestrian infrastructure across the city and enforce the law consistently, or simply announce that walking in Nairobi is now an offence reserved for those who cannot afford transport.

First impression is the last impression.
Landed at JKIA from Heathrow and, for a country with serious tourism ambitions, the arrival experience needs a complete rethink. Long immigration queues are bad enough, then KRA officers go through personal luggage so thoroughly you’d think your suitcase was an undeclared container underwear included. Having travelled to 70+ countries, I’ve rarely seen ordinary personal luggage treated this way. Bro we spend millions selling Magical Kenya to the world, yet the real Kenyan experience begins the moment a visitor lands. Security and revenue collection are necessary. But efficiency, dignity and hospitality matter too.A world-class destination deserves a world-class front door. 🇰🇪

There's construction of two apartment blocks on oppsite sides of the road with tippers and cement trucks backing up on the road carelessly.
Last week they even blocked both pedestrian pathways forcing us to walk on the road.

Praying Lesuuda Transport Bill will provide quick fix to Boda Boda … Acceleration lane & overpasses are for fast moving cars. Boda Boda ought to ride on the outside of the left lane. But because Boda Boda are traffic terrorists, they ride on both lanes & in the middle. They even use the overpasses. It is not right in law & in practice. Why should we fight for space & safe drive with Boda Boda riders. Civilized countries or those with Singapore aspirations have minimum modicum of traffic culture & it isn’t Kenya.

What in the littering problem is going on in this country? From Nairobi to other towns. Everywhere has a littering problem and waste management problem. Kenyans, County and National governments have failed to keep Kenya clean. Cultural and social revolutions will help with this.
