But kids in the village can’t get to school without getting soaked, or meeting a car coming the other way that’s decided to get through the flooding by mounting the pavement. @GideonJAmos 2/2
Visiting my parents in Creech St Michael, and Hyde Lane is once again flooded. @SomersetCouncil say “the problem is not a safety issue and not severe enough for us to fix it”. 1/2
Science is built on trust. What happens when someone destroys it?

I used to meltdown every day after school. I'd come home & scream & cry. Or, I'd shutdown & pass out on the floor with my shoes still on.
I learned recently that it's called after-school restraint collapse and that many Autistic folks experience this during the schooling years.
old landlord trying to charge full £1050 deposit for "cleaning + issues" + is going to court to do so as retribution for us not accepting a £100 deduction for "cleaning" which they couldn't provide any proof of the need for or what those costs were. these people are fucking scum.
We created this series to promote a wider understanding of what it's like to be autistic to a neurotypical audience , it's quite an emotional watch . It airs on the 14th Feb at 9pm on @BBCTwo and @BBCiPlayer .

'Neurodiversity in the workplace' should be about radically changing workplaces, and the culture of work, so that people of all neurotypes can thrive (if they can/want to work), not about going 'hey, bosses, hire some neurodivergent people because they're useful in [x] ways'.
Part of the solution to Oxford, Cambridge, and London lab space being so expensive would be to move the UK's scientific excellence North. It wouldn't be that hard. There's just one problem.
It’s not all men, no. Of course it isn’t. But if a plane was crashing somewhere in the UK every day of the week then wouldn’t we want to maybe talk about what we’re teaching our pilots?
@Stagecoach_East why is it that the #7 bus is bypassing Sawston? As if there aren’t people waiting in the freezing cold… (this is relating to the yellow bus going towards Cambridge, not the green one)
@Stagecoach_East 2 and a half hours for me to get home from work today (normally takes me 1 hour). No.7 from Sawston-Cambridge had no buses from 17:30 to nearly 7pm - how is this okay? I’d like to see your management take the bus instead of driving for a week...
