People reacting as if Google services are only available till today.
Google I/O is about their service and their partners use their service.
Apple is one of Google's long term partners.
Their users also generate revenue.
Take that (economic) off the table, said a venture capitalist, in this economy heavily driven by leading edge technology.
Now let's talk about black holes, but take gravity off the table.
That 1-2 nm can be a make or break point.
We are talking about 3-2 nm or even 2-1 nm, not 45 to 28nm. It's going to be 2 to 1.8nm and so on now. Sun 1nm will possibly not come in a decade.
Look how Samsung has failed to chase TSMC up within the same node.
1-2nm is a huge gap.
Chamath: Taiwan Loses Its Strategic Importance in 18 Months
@chamath:
“ We're 18 months from Taiwan not being an important moment of conversation the way it is today.
Why 18 months? Because we are at a point where we're probably 1-2 nanometers away from being able to do what we need Taiwan to strategically do for us.
And so as we scale up our chip fabs, as we get more capacity, and interestingly, there are these orthogonal technologies being developed.
I don't know if you guys saw, but Neuralink was showcasing a machine that is literally operating at the almost nanometer scale to do the brain operations for the implantation, all automatically.
When you have the dexterity and the capability mechanically to make these things, the real reason then is a very different one than what it is today.
Today, it's economic. And if you take that off the table, I think we'll have a very different attitude to Taiwan.”
The reason why Taiwan is so critical in semiconductors is not just TSMC. It's the whole chain you need in making chips, in one place, possibly next door.
If it's that easy, Intel won't be struggling, and iPhone would've been fully made in the USA.
@Wvisioncreation He just harvests engagement from both sides, Samsung fans and Samsung haters. Also, his Samsung disses come heavily whenever Chinese brands are launching new products. He's a great tipster, no integrity though.
@madebygoogle Let me be clear, neither of these photos is accurate. The colour is closer to the pre-processed. The exposure sits in between. The scene is actually high contract. The shadow should be way deeper than the post-processed. The HDR just killed it all.
I'm begging @madebygoogle to look into your HDR algorithm.
The post-processed photos are neither realistic, vivid nor pleasing and different from the live view.
I know you can do it, you did it on Pixel 4.
It's been talked about for years. It's impossible for you not to know.
