Most of that post is either entirely false or completely distorted to mislead people. It’s said in complete malice and is just AI slop given the prompt to frame everything in the most negative light possible but it stretches into delusional land. I took no raise, I got paid 1/4th of the appraised value of the business, and just to point out how low effort this slop is… Calli Bailey is my mother not my wife. We started BTC Inc together 14 years ago.

You should hold yourself to a higher standard than to breathlessly slander someone when the only thing I’m guilty of is taking my company public and buying $500m of bitcoin at the top.

If you build open-source blockchain software and don't have unilateral control over users' funds, you are not a money transmitter. Not under FinCEN rules. Not under federal criminal law. Not under state registration requirements.

Writing code ≠ money transmission.

Building self-custody tools ≠ money transmission.

Running node infrastructure ≠ money transmission.

For years, developers have operated under the threat that publishing code could expose them to money transmission charges. Section 604 eliminates that ambiguity entirely. It establishes a clear, codified legal protection for the people who actually build the open-source infrastructure this industry runs on.

I think the best part of the @TheBitcoinConf for me was when I met this guy who was only there because of a rent a human.

Some Claude Bot hired him to walk around the conf with meta glasses and film everything for him for “research”.

Guy knew nothing about Bitcoin. Was just there to make $100 (his Claude boss found a free ticket for him). I forgot to ask if Claude paid for the glasses or if he already had them.
