I think the long gaps between seasons of shows are a huge part of how insane fandom has become. people get SO invested, and have years to tell themselves what the show is. their opinions about characters calcify until any evolution is seen as the writers making a mistake.
so satisfying to watch past lestat catching up to the events future vo lestat has already told us about. i assumed louis told him about bruce and the diary pages, but sam said that lestat actually didn’t know about it until the seance and he learned it from ghost claudia
@drculasdaughter the more i think about it, the more convinced i am that louis knows about akasha and enkil, at least the bare minimum. when he asked claudia if they’re looking for “adam and eve of the damned”, that a very fucking specific thing to just guess. but claudia definitely didn’t know
@dabbleinfudgery in s1 louis connected it to the pandemic. so it started as decentralised response to a worldwide lockdown for humans, which restricted and complicated hunting for vampires for sure. then it found thought leaders like gabriella and spitballed into an apocalyptic movement
thinking thoughts on the different ways gabi and lestat killed their family members: gabi drained her son, lestat tore his brother’s heart out but did not drink. now we have him throwing up up the lioncourt descendant’s blood and being kinda icky about drinking his own with bear
@CrowFeathers72 the frontman was murdered in public AND the lead guitarist committed suicide in public shortly after (now this is making me think that in-universe larrystat shippers must have lost their minds over this)
this is gon sound weird… i love that they’re partners in a way that breathes. there’s so many couples in fiction that i think swallow each other in their scenes but these two exist in perfect harmony. like birds and trees. just being near each other is the innate romance
