Agra Man Defrauded of INR 11 Lakh in Fake Merchant Navy Job Scam; Seven Accused, Including Father-Son Duo

In Agra's Shahganj police station area, a young man was defrauded of INR 11 lakh under the pretense of securing a job in the Merchant Navy in Dubai. A case has been registered against seven individuals, including a father and son.

Manoj Kushwaha, a resident of Ayodhya Kunj, Shahganj, informed the police that his neighbor, Amit Lavania, introduced himself to several people, promising a job placement. After taking INR 11 lakh, they arranged for a GP Rating course and misled him for two years, but the job never materialized. When questioned, the accused allegedly threatened him.

It is alleged that the accused are running a gang that traps unemployed individuals. The police have registered a case against Amit Lavania, his daughter Sanjana Lavania, Radharaman Lavania, Pankaj Sharma, Vicky, Jeetu Kushwaha, and Pushkar. ACP Lohamandi, Mayank Tiwari, stated that evidence collection is underway.
