@Emras_CSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Emily, I really liked the class dojo when I set up an account. It seems to have a lot of great features and was pretty easy to use when I was messing around with it.
@Wendy_csub @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Wendy, I was in a similar boat, had never used it before this class but now i'm excited to use it to the full potential.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A4: Quest 7, for google sites is easily the coolest tool we've used so far and has so much you can do with it. This quest has made me realize how easy it is to use technology in the classroom and has me excited about the potential uses for it.@csubted@JMaddern_CSUB#edte4200
@NormaRamos27407@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Norma, Nearpod is a really cool choice, anything thing that lets student collaborate more easily is a big win. Gifs are great too, who wouldn't want to send gifs?
@Emras_CSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Emily, I chose google slides as well, it's just a really useful tool and really shows it by using all 4 representations like you mentioned.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A3:Students can use google slides to create recorded slideshows for a TedEd lesson on a topic of their choosing. This activity would use writing a script for the slide show and speaking for recording themselves presenting the lesson.#csubEDTE4200@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted
@aj_CSUB@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Ashley, there has been such a big growth in zoom. Being able to share my screen with the professor during office hour zooms was super useful in sharing my work.
@wyorkcsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi William, Canvas was the other big tech that I was thinking of. It was such a big part of my college education that I can't really imagine what I would have done without.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A2: In my experience @gradescope has become the standard at the university level for handing in assignments, at least in stem classes. Two of the biggest benefits for students is getting grades back faster and making regrade requests easier. #csubedte4200@csubted@JMaddern_CSUB
@JenayCalender@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Jenay, I want to teach at the highschool level too. I loved taking Biology in school I imagine it will be a lot of fun to teach it!
@Mr_Ellis17 @JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Stephen, I agree with what you said about youtube being patient. As a student it was really nice to be able to watch a lecture or guide at my own pace and repeat whenever I needed to.
@AbayaArquin@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Arquin, I really liked Flip as well. I hadn't used it before the class and I liked how easy it was use and found it really fun to make short videos.
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A1: my favorite tech tool so far had been google sites. I knew at some point having a website for my classes would be useful but I thought it might be difficult to setup but google sites made it so easy! @csubted@JMaddern_CSUB#csubedte4200
