@am_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I've never been comfortable using Google Forms or Microsoft Excel so I really appreciate how we're having a chance to learn that now. Better to be overprepared than under prepared when it comes to these different applications and tools!
@wyorkcsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted The snipping tool has been SO handy! You take a screenshot but are able to crop it exactly how you want it the first try. There's no need to edit it later like I would have to if I used "Print Screen"
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Julia! I've never heard or Pear Deck before so thank you for sharing. I really like the concept of a more interactive presentation, students will definitely need to be paying attention and listening to their fellow classmates
@KenRudyCadiz@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Kenneth! I agree with you, I think it's a great way to cover all aspects of academic language and it gets done without even realizing it
@JenayCalender@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I agree with you. I think breakout rooms were a great way for participation. Studnets were able to talk in small clusters, (which is definitely easier than talking to the whole class!) and then the teacher was able to check in and help when they needed it
@wyorkcsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Canvas is my jam! Everything is sorted neatly, your grades are there, future assignments are there. Discussions posts might be my favorite thing! I was surprised when I found out that this class would be using Google Classroom, especially since I've never used it before
@julia_csub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I remember my sisters having to use ClassDojo and my parents LOVED the communication they were able to have with their teachers. I think we all appreciated how helpful it was to make sure everyone stayed on track or were able to address any other issues
@Bkellycsub@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted I totally agree! Google Sites is incredible, and I couldn't believe how easy it has been to use compared to other other website builders I've tried in the past
@JenayCalender@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hello Jenay! I loved my biology class, I had a wonderful time. I wish you the best and hope you have a great time as well!
@AbayaArquin@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted Hi Arquin, nice to meet you! I think it's really cool that you've already taught band and orchestra, you definitely have a better insight as to what you'll need to manage a class!
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A4: I think the most rewarding has been TechQuest 7. Google Sites is so fantastic, and I love how easy it is to use. Using it as a digital portfolio is such a smart way to make sure your students interact with technology for their assigments or projects. #csubted#csubedte4200
@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A3: A student-led activity that makes use of class tech tools would be research presentations. Students can use Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, or Prezi. Presentations are great in addressing speaking and listening

@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A2: I think Zoom has been the most popular for virtual education. The best feature it has is allowing you to share your screen, specifically the students to the teacher. This way, teachers can help students understand what it is they are having issues with

@JMaddern_CSUB@csubted A1: My favorite technology resource I've learned about this summer is Google Sites. I may have struggled with it at first, but I do like how we are making a digital portfolio. It's something I think I could use with my future students in our art class.
