@the_transit_guy Simple reason: in US private cos (Union Pacific, CSX, etc) own the rail and rights of way - prioritize freight. Govt operates Amtrak for passenger but 2nd priority to freight except NE corridor (Acela). Opposite of Europe where govt owns tracks and “private” cos operate trains.

@bgurley A stat that stuck with me: only 7% of all searches have any commercial value at all (i.e. you can run ads against them). "Average lifespan of Macaw parrot" was hard to monetize and = other 93%. Will I ask ChatGPT for a snorkeling outfitter in Tulum? Is the index run daily?
