I hope this time we Kenyans will look for leaders and not political parties.
We've been through TNA, CORD, NASA, JUBILEE, UDA, now DCP.
We can't afford to mess up
Let the crooks defect to Linda Mwananchi, I have no problem with it.
I am convinced, all it takes is ONE PRESIDENT with genuine intent like Edwin Sifuna, to fundamentally change the direction of this country.
Much of what we call bad governance that is caused by other leaders in Ministries or Counties survives because the President PERMITS it to survive. The Presidency is a Very POWERFUL position !
The real test for @edwinsifuna is not how he accommodates these defectors today, but whether he has the conviction to handle them appropriately when he forms the next government.
BUT one thing we have to collectively agree as Kenyans, WE ARE SLIDING BACK !
I have just watched the press conference between Linda Mwananchi and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka. The internet has been littered with regime propaganda that Kalonzo might be considering joining the sinking ship. 🧵
I was a journalist during El Adde attack, which is Kenya's worst military defeat. Up to 400 KDF soldiers were killed. What makes it hurt even more is that KDF were betrayed by the very community it was protecting. Here is how it unfolded, step by step: 🧵
(If you're wondering why your'e seeing this thread again, X sent me a graphic content warning on the last one and I had to pull it down)
REASONS WHY I SUPPORT TUTAM:
1. Statehouse allocation increased by Kes 6.8 billion to Kes 13.64 billion from Kes 3.98 billion, a 100.6% increase. Meanwhile, hospitals lacked drugs, doctors, nurses and therapists went months without salaries, schools lacked capitation, and the new higher-education funding model was doing mathematics even Einstein could not understand. But at least the palace is comfortable for the king and his visitors. wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
2. The first 20 months in office, the king made 62 foreign trips, visiting a total of 38 countries, by the second anniversary of his presidency he had made about 66 foreign trips just to fulfil his childhood dreams at a total cost of approximately Kes 2 billion, as he travelled, more Kenyans sunk into poverty and payslips got raided to fund the king’s lifestyle in the palace. Wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
3. During the king’s 1st tam tenure, a total of 200 Kenyans died under police instructed brutality, parents mourned, instead of being humane and showing leadership, the king instructed police to shoot more Kenyans on the legs 🦵🏿for fun as his son bought more matatus that keep breaking traffic rules under the watch of NTSA live on cameras. Wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
4. Instead of providing a conducive environment for Kenyans to create jobs for themselves, King Zakayo opted to bill us to build office 🏢 blocks and named them affordable housing to create short term employment and allegedly solving a housing crisis that was never there since almost 3/4 of houses in urban areas remain unoccupied due to affordability issues and not lack of housing. Wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
5. The king oversaw the cost of fuel raising to Kes 207 a litre and blamed an Iranian war that only affected Kenya in the entire world 🌍, after realising the war excuse was a lie, the king decided to solve the problem he created via unnecessary taxation on fuel by reducing the fuel price by Kes 9/- and went to tell wananchi he has reduced the cost of living. That was like stealing someone’s goat, returning one leg and asking them to thank you for your generosity. Wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
6. Instead of fixing NHIF, the king created a money looting scheme called SHAH that has been a catastrophic failure! The king has continued to publicly declare SHAH as functional despite many hospitals and users stating otherwise. Latest SHAH victims have been teachers including medics but the king does not believe it. Wapi makofi 👏🏿 ya rais jameni.
Ni wantam si wantam jameni?
Not a coincidence that the murder cases of Sharon Otieno (by a Governor), Albert Ojwang (by NPS) and David Odhiambo (by KWS) are getting the (deserved) headlines.
Kenyans need to understand what populism really means and why it is not the solution to our country’s problems. Populist leaders often thrive on public anger and easy slogans, but rarely offer credible long term solutions. More often than not, they become agents of the status quo, exploiting frustration without addressing the structural change needed to transform the nation.
I made this tweet after Raila joined Ruto. Then Ruto visited Uhuru shortly after. Even the camp that is now firmly DCP is doing so not against Ruto but to establish their own power centre which will be a bargaining tool to remain in power. The goal is to remain in power.
The so-called business community, didn’t you claim we should halt protests because they’re harming Nairobi’s economy?
You see, many of you rural-bred fools fail to grasp that you can’t prosper when your clients are downtrodden, oppressed, and penniless.
If you’d sacrificed just a few days, you’d be rolling in cash - but look at your situation now.
To new X users. There are a lot of killer regime, blood-based and controlled opposition rats. I am cautioning you against the following accounts:
1. George T. Diano (@georgediano)
2. Mugambi Amathi (@PHIAMAX)
3. Rein Asamoh (@Asamoh_)
4. Austin Omondi Japrado (@Dr_AustinOmondi)
The deterioration and fall of Kenya from a barely functioning country to complete systemic ruin and dysfunction has been deeply painful to witness.
Our children do not deserve this.
DCP is a regime mole. You saw the clueless woman rep trying to quash the idea of an impeachment. You also saw the allied MPs avoid budget vote. Today you’ve seen the chief homeguard trying to make the killings of hundreds of Kenyans about him.
Nairobi needs to shift from trying to solve every mobility challenge with flyovers, wider roads, and elevated highways to investing in fast and reliable public transport.
Nowadays we learn about our projects in foreign media since ours are compromised and Seth olale range goes as far as talking about arsenal and other mundane things while the country burns.
