"Every Canadian can change this starting in their next meeting by adopting three habits β say it now, say it succinctly, and say it about the thing, not the person."

When you bring the *person* into every discussion, all sides lock up. Enough of that shit.
Opus 4.7 seems better overall, but holy smokes the context rot problem is back with a vengance.
I miss having an ultra long thread with 4.6 when working on similar, smaller things.
I would not have expected this much of a difference in mental load! Feels like babysitting.
@levie Simple frame of mind Iβve used a few times is - what happens if every agreement is constantly reviewed for potential issues? Right now, almost all agreements are signed and thrown in a folder and are never looked at again. Legal needs explodes if even a small fraction is.
@wesbos I have stuck with a 14 for years because of this exact problem. Iβd love to go 16 but when I work on flights a 14 is already a bit too big. If we can ever get a great iPad dev setup, Iβd probably switch.
@rlj_law@zackbshapiro Thank you for articulating my reaction so well. The article is great, regardless of how it was typed.
Slop is such a perfect word for the useless crap that a model *can* produce, Iβll be sad if it turns into the word we label everything generated with.
@michaelkoper Same - I migrated our db to CrunchyData.
I'm prioritizing db connection latency with alternatives. Render is the winner so far, I can locate both in US-East-1.
@TomaOfficer Absolutely. They can go off the rails much faster than youβd expect. I find managing the timing of compaction helps quite a bit.
Starting new threads after planning is a big help too.
But as the models and harnesses keep improving, it matters less and less.
@emo_eth@charlieholtz@Shpigford Wow - this worked. That linebreak was the issue.
Still have the auth loop without the env var, but I'm up and running! Thanks @emo_eth
@charlieholtz@Shpigford Also should note that for me, setting the env var does not work.
Latest macOS, latest version of Conductor. Tried using the packaged Claude to log in, and it worked but that authorization wasnt used inside Conductor. Reinstalling didnβt work.
Any ideas?
