Although he’s gotten perhaps a bit more sublime (if you can believe it) :)

Dali was one of the first artists my father introduced me to when I was 6 and I’ve seen his influence rear it’s awe inspiring head in all my efforts - films and/or art willingly or not. ☺️
Was so intense on all my senses visiting his exhibition in Toronto titled Devina DALI.

The point is that those were the most impactful and cinematic images of the stories and we froze those frames to inspire us plebs. A very beautifully crafted film poster, a concept art of sorts to draw us in.
It works.

… when we choose to freeze frame that story and make a sculpture or a drawing out of them - wether it's Kali biting her own tongue at having stepped on Shiva or it's Hanuman carrying the mountain or it's the Son of God nailed to a cross.
