A monarch in Benin republic explained how the Oyo Empire frequently fought against the Kingdom of Dahomey (in present-day Benin). The Oyo soldiers usually won these battles, and Dahomey eventually agreed to pay tribute to the Alaafin of Oyo. Dahomey continued paying tribute for over 110 years.
After more than 110 years, a new king of Dahomey named Ghezo decided to end the tribute. He attacked Oyo soldiers at Kétou, bringing an end to Dahomey’s long standing tributary relationship with the Oyo Empire. He also attacked Imeko in present-day Ogun State.
Ghezo later attacked Abeokuta, but the Egba defenders repelled his forces, and he met his Waterloo. he was assassinated by Abeokuta’s soldiers.

Whatever offence Nigerians committed against these criminals, WE ARE SORRY abeg.
Prof, Sir, the issue is spectacularly simple:
Did Anthony Kila obtain the qualifications and attain the positions he claimed in his CV? If so, he should present the evidence and clear all doubt. If not, he should own up to his fraud, apologise for it, and take his punishment like a man.
Thank you, Sir. Hope you’ve been well.
This is the most emotional video on the TL
"Mama, your son is now the IG"
You would be extremely into w*tchcraft not to appreciate this video. This IGP Tunji Disu surely knows how to dine with the elders.
just watched the full youtube video. here is a quote from the white guy around the end.
"the finishes are really poor, you would get significantly way better finishes for a 2 bedroom house in a poor neighborhood in miami".
poor neighborhood in etas has better finishing in a 2 bedroom house than a $1.2m house in a high-end lagos area.
If you invest $200k in Qatar real estate, you get a yearly renewable residency for you and your family.
If you invest $1m you get permanent residency.
No house in Nigeria is worth $1.2m!!!
Most especially the one in this video!!
My biggest fear!!! Fake drugs. This menace must be dealt with, and fast. People are literally dying, including children. Worse still, it's not just drugs alone.
They are rewriting your history right in front of you, and you are applauding them. 😍😍 Aww, the woke generation!
When the time comes, they will gaslight those of us who speak up and accuse us of being tribalistic, intolerant, or even worse than our parents’ generation. Yet, these same people take immense pride in their own culture. They defend it, preserve it, and proudly claim what belongs to them. But somehow, when it comes to us, we are expected to be quiet, accommodating, and ashamed of taking pride in our own heritage.
These same people are loudly claiming what belongs to us, with their full chest and absolutely no shame. And rather than question them, some of you will join in because you think being liberal means you are more enlightened or better than those of us who refuse to let our history be distorted.
There is a difference between respecting other people’s cultures and allowing people to rewrite yours. There is a difference between being open-minded and being so desperate to appear progressive that you abandon your own people’s history and heritage. You can respect other cultures without surrendering your own.
What saddens me the most is that some of you will never hold others to the same standards you hold your own people. You will scrutinize our traditions, mock our pride, and demand that we be accommodating, while giving others a free pass to do whatever they want with ours.
It is a shame, honestly. But I will do everything in my power to ensure my children grow up knowing who they are, where they come from, and what their heritage means. I refuse to raise children who are so afraid of being called tribalistic that they become strangers to their own culture, or so desperate for validation from others that they cannot stand firmly in their identity.
Being proud of your heritage is not hatred for another culture. Defending your history is not tribalism. And respecting others should never require you to disrespect yourself.
I have zero issues with diverting the coastal road inward. Zero issues!
But selling a dream you knew was never going to materialise is FRAUDULENT regardless of your political or engineering challenges. How do you build citizens’ trust in your government?
Even an American saw what we call Luxury apartments, he first laugh 🤣
If you see $300K house in the US ehn if it comes to Nigeria na $1M dem go call am.

There’s nothing that white American real estate expert said in that review that many Nigerians have not been saying for years. Nigerians have said these things:
A lot of Lagos real estate is overpriced.
Terribly built. Mostly no car garages.
Too much glass everywhere.
Unsafe flooring. Very little space.
Almost zero greenery. Bad drainages.
Near zero privacy from neighbours.
But when a Nigerian says these things,
The person will be called broke, envious, or a destroyer of business. This is how stupid we have collectively been as a people that objective feedback that should improve an industry is taken as targeted attack to ruin the company.
So sad but not shocking.
CNG can be a revolutionary project. Better coordination and harmonization of this landmark policy can help bring down transport fare and reduce inflation
Another thing that seems obvious in this video is how much the real estate industry has to invest in training craftsmen.
The industry needs to fund craft schools… as a top real estate company your CSR programs should be leaning towards funding artisan education for the ecosystem.
Imagine Landwey sponsoring 100 kids in learning proper tile installation, or Palton Morgan, Cosgrove, Mixta and co sponsoring 1000 students in window installation, neat bricklaying woodwork, electrical installations etc.
We need to start looking in this direction, our craftsmanship is piss poor, and it makes the few good ones expensive.
Also, it’s not a good look that we heavily depend on foreign labor for quality craftsmanship, we need to invest in training local talent for the industry.
We need to invest in the talent pipeline.
This is the same building the American real estate expert reviewed.
The very same building.
Here is Ola of Lagos’s review of that house. Zero useful information. Zero sensible analysis. Just a lot of noise, useless hype and sprinkles of “I no fit poor”
