@BaoGTran@HandSurgeonMD@ElationHealth@WisprFlow Dictation software is great, but I'm curious if the healthcare industry has privacy concerns with software that sends all your dictation to their servers. Does 100% local offline software help solve those concerns?
@gourav_io@WisprFlow@AnthropicAI It depends on the platform. For Apple devices, the built-in Foundation model is ok, but needs a lot of guidance on top. Gemma was much more powerful, but it's more how you build it than what model you use.
@kazravan Up to trying a 100% local alternative that doesn't cost a subscription? We built our own, translates into several different languages, and has multiple voice cleanup modes for your own personal taste. DM me if you want a free license.
@thecoachchris_ We thought $$ a month subscriptions for smart dictation with cleanup was overpriced, so we made our own. DM us, and we'll send you a license, no strings attached.
@liekitisnot@grok@CavePersonCA@WisprFlow Would they consider a locally ran alternative? I built my own dictation software that’s completely local for Mac and Windows, while still keeping the premium features like cleanup and filtering. DM me if you want a personal free license to try.
@SeanMalarkey@dallastesla@WisprFlow Me too, so I wrote my own. 100% stays local and still cleans up well like the big guys. Even has a few different modes to clean up depending on if you only want light "uhs" removed, or will completely reword run on sentences, babbling, etc. DM me if you want a free license.
@Diab_V1@WisprFlow Had that exact same problem, so I wrote my own. Try it out. https://t.co/ntMQV8MQRZ. Use BLAHFRIEND at checkout for a free license. No strings, just tell people if you like it.
@valeriomc_ I use OpenCode with local models myself, and I wrote my own dictation and cleanup software that runs locally because no one wants to pay for another subscription. check it out - https://t.co/ntMQV8MQRZ. Use BLAHFRIEND at checkout for a free license.
@jdomanpipe@WisprFlow We wrote our own dictation & cleanup software for that very reason, and it runs 100% locally. check it out at https://t.co/ntMQV8MQRZ. Use BLAHFRIEND at checkout for a free license.
@rosspower@meetgranola@WisprFlow If privacy's the sticking point, does a completely local solution work? I built a dictation app where nothing leaves your machine, with no account and no cloud. Takes audio notes too.
@naaiyy_@raycast We're a little biased, but we built our own with no subscription. It supports 20+ languages and works on Mac and Windows. Follow back and I'll DM you a free license.
@youravgtechbro Try one more? https://t.co/ntMQV8MQRZ. It's offline by design, and has a few tricks up it's sleeve that others don't. Use BLAHFRIEND at checkout for a free license.
@abhinavrastog12@WisprFlow Same here, the subscriptions bugged me enough that I built my own. Free models like Qwen are great for raw transcription, but the big upgrade is a system that gets what you meant, not just what you said, so the ums and rambling become what you'd actually have typed.
@zaidakhterr What platform? If you're looking for something on Windows or Mac, try https://t.co/ntMQV8MQRZ. It's entirely local and doesn't require a subscription.
@EntropyRulesAll@retailrefugee Check out blah. It’s a dictation tool that cleans up your prose as you speak. It can just fix odd pauses or punctuation, or rephrase your speech based on your audience.
