Explicit teaching. Scaffolding a new skill. Show show show. Break down the task into skills. Master each step. Support to success. Support to independence. #thatsteaching
Not sure who needs to hear this, but most of the HCWers at my hospital who have caught COVID got it from their kids who got it from school... Yup school. While we can and do wear N95s at work, it is hard to expect people to wear them at home.
There are currently 32 people under the age of 50 in ICUs in BC with severe COVID infections. All, 100% are not vaccinated. Those are 32 beds we could desperately use for other patients.
There will be several hundred thousand students in #bced elementary schools who are unvaccinated. Many thousands more in secondary schools will be partially vaccinated. We need more than vaccines to ensure schools are safe. We need masks, ventilation, and distancing #bcpoli ⬇️
