I'm nearing the end of kingdom hearts and there's a moment that Sora has a confrontation with a character who has totally lost his way in his belief. It's classic trope stuff but he says something really poignant about HEART. It made me realize that kingdom hearts is the antidote to pessimism.
This world is messed up. Regardless of time, era, politics etc. we live in a flawed world. Kingdom hearts presents an opportunity to shine a light through darkness itself with hope, optimism, and possibility. With heart. With spirit.
You can't play kingdom hearts and not be open to its message. Because It is so pure and so honest. It will either crack you open to its message or you won't get far enough to allow it to.
Beautiful.
@ExoTechism@ZakuXander@BookBearodactyl I’ve also seen people say in the original Japanese text it conveys that younger attitude for pretty much the rest of the game, and it just didn’t translate as well in the original English translations. So many of our expectations could have been made on incorrect assumptions.
No Giants players have ever *once* written a Bible verse on their hats
Pride night rolls around and 3 Giants players write Bible verses on hats for the first times in their careers—hats that they *didn’t even have to wear*
It’s hate. Accept the social consequences for it, loser
HUNTERxHUNTER by Yoshihiro Togashi will resume its serialization next week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #31 2026.
Series will be receiving a color page with Chapter 401.
this is what frustrates me whenever people say “Nintendo is an outlier they have the IP.” ok and how did they grow that IP? over decades and very carefully. Zelda didn’t hit Breath of the Wild numbers until BOTW! long term planning, growing audiences game by game etc.
The reflecting pool is a microcosm for Trump’s entire presidency. The tyrant wanted something done for his own personal gain and vanity, a bunch of actual experts told him it was a bad idea, he did it anyway, and now the entire thing is a disaster and waste of our tax dollars.
To recap:
- Trump declared war on the algae in the reflecting pool
- Spent a lot of money trying to fight it
- Lost
- Made things worse
- Now has to spend even more money to get it back to the state it was in before he got involved
Just like the war in Iran.
I mean, I just don't know how to describe this. He is just completely out of it. And the political media is just ignoring it while continuing to write think pieces about Joe Biden for the umpteenth time.
Like... wtf?
