part of being a daughter is growing up to find out about your mother's hidden traumas, you realize she never told you half of the horrible things she went through in life. The older you get, the more it hits you that you were raised by a superwoman disguised as an ordinary person
We demand the strongest condemnation from all elected and appointed Philippine government officials to this atrocious aggression of China towards the Philippine Navy. Or else your silence would be synonymous to complicity and even treacherous behavior.

Tracy Chapman — who hasn’t performed live in years — just sang “Fast Car” on stage with Luke Combs at the Grammy’s.
The backstory behind this collaboration is incredible.
Combs’ first favourite song ever was “Fast Car”. He covered it in early 2023 as a country version and the song hit #1 on country charts in July.
Chapman owns the song’s composition rights and became the first black female to top the Country chart as a sole writer.
What did she think of the cover?
Chapman told Billboard at the time: “I never expected to find myself on the country charts, but I’m honored to be there. I’m happy for Luke….and grateful that new fans have found and embraced ‘Fast Car.’”
Combs honored the original version, which he first listened to when his dad popped a cassette in the car.
“You want to just be mega respectful of the original song,” says the 33-year old country singer, per CMT. “That’s why in [my cover], it’s, ‘work in the market as a checkout girl.’ I didn’t change that…I really wanted to just do the original version of the song.”
Them performing it together tonight is perfection.
Perhaps a meaningful starting point would be for government officials to personally experience the daily commute by riding a jeepney alongside other passengers during the early morning rush hour. This firsthand experience would provide invaluable insights into the realities faced by the commuting public and enable a more informed decision-making process.
Or simply talk to jeepney drivers on the road.
Confirmed. Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte's district received P51 billion pesos during the last 3 years of his father's presidency. His own father's office requested for such amounts in the national budget.
This was confirmed by Public Works Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral to ABS-CBN Henry Omaga-Diaz.
According the House Appropriations Chair Rep. Elizaldy Co, the average budget allocation per district is P500 million P4 billion pesos. Budget Assistant Secretary Rhea Dela Vega says that this could only mean that projects in other districts were cut to make room for the P51 billion allocated to Rep. Duterte's district.
Rep. Co claims that Philippine lawmakers are complaining about the unfairness of the budget distribution whilst local political commentators report that Rep,. Duterte has become politically isolated in the House after recent revelations.
