You can never know real pain until you lose someone very dear to you.
Lost my grandma on the 8th of January this year.
My heart was completely shattered.
I lost momentum, I couldn’t even show up properly here on the space.
A few days later, I lost my device.
all the memories I had of her was in there.
I called and called my phone.
My only request was to just have the memories, they could keep the phone.
But I never got it back.
I rushed to check my cloud backup.
Sat there, staring at the laptop screen for minutes as it refreshed…
only to find out nothing backed up.
“If only there was a reliable storage system, all these won’t be happening”, I screamed.
That moment sparked a pain in me…
and I went on a quest to find a permanent solution so no one have to go through what I went through again.
That’s when I found @ArweaveEco
Think of @ArweaveEco as a permanent storage space for data.
But unlike regular storage systems, it’s decentralized!
No central authority and no single point of failure.
Whatever you store there, be it photos, videos, files, documents even your PoW…
Once it’s on @ArweaveEco…
It’s there forever.
Safe, Secure and Untouchable!
It was founded by @samecwilliams
Who is infact a PhD drop-out
Quite interesting, right?
But there’s more…
I didn’t stop there.
I also found something else.
The name is @aoTheComputer…
it’s like a super computer that lets you run multiple programs faster than you can imagine.
And it does all these without comprising security.
It uses the @ArweaveEco permanent storage layer as its hard drive.
Ensuring your work never gets missing or lost.
Honestly, the benefits the @ArweaveEco ecosystem have to offer you are countless.
But I’d cover that in a full thread soon, still working on it..
Think of this as an exclusive spoiler for the thread.
If you don’t wanna lose what matters most to you just like I did.
Then, it’s time you explore the @ArweaveEco ecosystem.
Wanna give a shoutout to @True_JDHarmony
(some months ago, he made out time to setup a call with me & told me more about the ecosystem, he’s a great dude)
You can follow him if you don’t wanna miss updates on the @ArweaveEco ecosystem.
➠ These are other accounts you’d definitely want to follow🔻

1/6 The LiquidOps fair launch is now live.
LiquidOps is an over-collateralised lending and borrowing protocol built on Arweave and AO.
We are super excited to step into this new chapter of our protocol, LiquidOps Co-Founder @lorimer_jenkins breaks it down!
Coinbase will add support for Sonic (S) on the Sonic network. Do not send this asset over other networks or your funds may be lost. Transfers for this asset are available on @Coinbase & @CoinbaseExch in the regions where trading is supported.
We have no interest in building the hardware! Others will inevitably do that. But the wider point is serious.
@fwdresearch is just one of many organizations pushing for the adoption of Arweave, but our central thesis is this:
Humanities attention and focus is migrating into cyberspace. Already the average person spends ~50% of their time interfacing with this new world, and the trend shows no sign of slowing down. The hardware we use is wrapping our brain's inputs and outputs ever tighter.
Given this, we see the most important question facing humanity as one that is asked remarkably infrequently: Once we do migrate to cyberspace, what kind of world do we want it to be?
The 'physics' of this new world -- the rules that dictate how it functions, what is possible, and what isn't -- are direct results of the rules of the protocols that it runs on. As just one example, the DNS and IP protocols together dictate that each service we use by name must exist at a specific, physical location. As a direct consequence, the person/group that controls the machines at that physical location determine all of the rules of service (and experiences it generates) found in cyberspace at that name.
The choices facing us are stark.
1. A centralized cyberspace.
Everything that matters to you, and all of the rules that determine how your life unfolds, exists in machines controlled by others. The rules can be changed arbitrarily and at-whim.
We already see the edges of this at in the present day, but the stakes will only increase over time. One day you have a voice and perhaps a large audience that may listen to you on a social media platform. The next, your account can be banned arbitrarily, with little hope of appeal, because an algorithm determines that your posts do not align with the present narrative -- today, it is G**a, a couple of years ago the origins of the pandemic. Inevitably next year it will be something else.
2. The permaweb: A cyberspace that guarantees the rights of users as its primary objective.
In this world, the rules that dictate our experiences are predictable, transparent, neutrally applied, and immutable. The closest physical-world analogy is the rights imparted in countries that have resilient constitutions.
Arweave is our base layer, providing our neutral, location-independent bedrock for cyberspace's data. AO is how we make this world dynamic. The myriad protocols built on top of them fashion the primitives of this substrate into functional, end-user-facing services.
If nothing changes, I personally fear that we are sleepwalking into outcome 1, with widespread awareness of the problem potentially only emerging when it is already too late.
This is why we @fwdresearch and many in the wider Arweave ecosystem are building day and night, 24/7, to correct this course. It is a meaningful battle and I am truly honored that so many incredible people have already rallied to the cause. It will be a long road, but we are making progress each day.
For the curious, I wrote about this in (somehow 😂) much greater length in the post linked. It is 18 months old now but the outline it paints is just as relevant today, while the details of the status-quo have progressed.
Happy 7th Birthday to @ArweaveEco! 🥂
For 7 years, Arweave has been making the "memory hole" impossible, creating a permanent, censorship-resistant archive of human knowledge.
As the "permanent hard drive" to AO's "permanent CPU," together we're building the permaweb—extending the internet's architecture with new capabilities while preserving its core principles.
Here's to 7 years of democratizing information access and many more years of building a future where data and computation live forever.

U.S. residents are now eligible for the ~200M $S airdrop!
A milestone moment as our airdrop becomes one of the first to reach the U.S. legally and expands access to $S.
