Before being a jerk stop and GROWL. Is your response Goofy (irreverent), Reversing (claiming the opposite), Obverse (opposing no matter what), Withholding (implying there's more to it), Leveraged (having counters ready to any reaction). Ok, now you can be a jerk!
@JustMisogyny In the 2000s pink/blue toy aisles + media for children became even more pronounced (bratz, winx, GTA, boys cartoons beefed out, girls slimmed up) . Trans stuff has been influential in the last decade but no where near as much as the 'gender ideology' of big box stores etc prior.
@razzli_ Gay rights orgs won on marriage which put them out of business. Encouraged by trans activists they pivoted, politicians took notice, trans became civil rights 4.0. Now it looks everything like a fad.
@poppavein@RepDelBene Trump has made We the People celebration into Me the Monarch. He wants divine power for him and his family, above any law but his own.
@HeForShe This guidance applies to any 'gender' sphere online, I've seen similar explainers from transphobics who point to anti-terf anti-parent sentiment & behavioral changes from social that (re)normalize sexism. Young girls and ED too, etc. All 'gender' must be questioned for scourge.
@hriengaalkn Trans activists openly make violent threats. Hang terfs, decapitate terfs, stfu terf with a gun pointing at the (terf) viewer, barbwired baseball bats, a song 'kill terfs' etc. But these target women so you wouldn't notice them. I wouldn't be surprised if you used these yourself.
@TurnSeattleRed@RepDelBene Those crime are cute to you bc you don't care about crime just the politics of accused and convicted. That bill is dead in senate subcommittee run by Coryn or maybe Cruz, complain about them you'll be more credible.
After being so moved by Gisèle Pelicot’s book, which I posted about- I listened back-to-back to her daughter Caroline Darian’s powerful book.
It was so interesting to hear their experiences through a very different lens and way of surviving and processing. Whilst there are overlaps, it offers another layer, another perspective, and another set of questions. There is far more detail about some of the other crimes he and the other men carried out, the investigations, the uncertainty, and the devastating impact of not knowing.
What struck me most was yet another reminder of how trauma can send shockwaves through a whole relational ecosystem. The magnitude of the impact is massive and incomprehensible. The pain of the unknown, of not being believed, of searching for answers, and the utter horror at the mismatch between the man she thought she knew vs the one who she discovered. The shattered memories.
I was also struck by her amazing and important advocacy around those abused through chemical submission and the importance of greater awareness, recognition, and support.
@TurnSeattleRed@RepDelBene J6ers are not a criminal bunch, a mere 1 in 15 have been charged or arrested for other crimes since their release a year and a bit ago, and very few for child sexual abuse. https://t.co/i7DzX4zdbV it just goes to show how peaceable their assembly surely was.
@KDimitratos It is funny to hear them sounded out as if they were Greek words but the symbols are not being used for Greek phonology but as evocations for the fantasy being sold/expressed in English, so he is mispronouncing them.
@itsjusttissue@tolkienzone It's a Christian thing. Christians believe 'the lowest will be highest, the last will be first', those most committed to service and having the most difficulty will have highest place of honor when the apocalypse is done. So, bc they're all short, they all get the honor.
