The Doctor grew angry, and said, "Are you so ignorant of human nature, sir, as not to know that a man may be very sincere in good principles, without having good practice?" - Samuel Johnson, from the Tour to the Hebridies
U.S. Evangelicals are intentionally spreading false information online about Iranian Christians in order to promote more war and bloodshed.
There are over 1 million native, Apostolic Christians in Iran (Armenians, Assyrians, Chaldeans), not Evangelicals. U.S. Evangelicals are falsely claiming these native Apostolic Christians, who do not want war, “are converts begging for war.”
U.S. Evangelicals pushed for the Iraq War that destroyed 1.5 million native Chaldean and Assyrian Christians in Iraq.
U.S. Evangelicals pushed for the Syria War that destroyed 2.5 million native ancient Syrian Christian communities, even siding with and advocating for more funding for the AlQaeda/ISIS terrorists that were literally crucifying Syrian Christians.
U.S. Evangelicals do not speak for Middle East Christians. Middle East Christians do not want more war in the region.
The thing about converting to Catholicism, unlike Evangelicalism, is it's messy. You don't become a khaki wearing happy-go-lucky guy whose problems seemingly disappear overnight. The Catholic Faith is beautiful, it's deep, and it will force you to actually tackle your demons, while simultaneously providing a sense of peace like you've never experienced. It's a process, and it's messy.
This is childish ignorance. The king named in Judith 1:1 is the Aramean usurper Arakha who led Babylon in revolt against Persia in 521 BC. The “Behistun Inscription” of Darius I relates that Arakha called himself “Nebuchadnezzar, son of Nabonidus”—making him Nebuchadnezzar IV.🧵
Most of Catholic X when discussing the salvation of the Orthodox and Protestants:
“Bless their hearts, our brothers and sisters in Christ will probably be saved through ‘invincible ignorance.”
When it comes to the SSPX:
Honestly, this is one of the most convincing arguments for the SSPX. When the hierarchy abandoned us over a flu, the SSPX provided for as many as they could.
The consecration of new bishops, especially should Pope Leo XIV repeat the mistakes of Pope John Paul II, will separate the wheat from the chaff, those who understand the importance of the Tridentine Mass and those who think “TLM pretty”. Pray for all parties involved
@chesterbelloc3 Unironically seeing people showing more charity to the Orthodox who are in actual schism than to the SSPX and their claims is, well, enlightening to say the least.
There’s a parish 5 minutes from me that is nice to go spend time with Out Lord but not when you have a 300lb lady playing the piano just to the right of the sanctuary with a choir that’ll make your ears bleed and 2 big tv screens for everyone to watch even though it’s only 25 pews deep where there’s more respect for quietness at a tennis match then before Mass there (people on cell phones, everyone chatty Kathy etc. most everyone there is white haired). Whereas the local NO parish (that is attacked by the bishop & would have a TLM if TC didn’t ban it) is growing but that’s 25 min away and targeted for termination by the bishop. So you drive 60 min to the only allowed TLM (using tolls to get there) or the Byzantine parish that’s in a conference center bc they don’t have their own building bc you can try the ‘good’ NOs but, again, the bishop wants them to be happy clappy parishes. What if clerics got it together and just did the liturgy the right way? You wouldn’t have church hoping then. Maybe after all the old people die off (who’s the majority of the parishes it seems) they’ll try to go ‘hey what happened?’
With great sadness, we commend to your prayers the repose of the soul of Charles Outtier, a French seminarian of the Institute of Christ the King in Gricigliano, who was killed on January 15 in a tractor accident on the seminary grounds while he was performing his duties. Charles Outtier was a deacon preparing for priestly ordination this coming July. His unexpected and tragic death has plunged the seminary into mourning.
Deacon Outtier edified the whole community with his joyful demeanor and his fervent devotion to his duties, his studies, and his Catholic faith. He was full of promise for his future priestly ministry. But the good Lord, who alone knows the day and hour, has called him on ahead of us. He was anointed and received the Apostolic Blessing at the moment of his death.
Please pray for Deacon Outtier's soul, for the superiors of the Institute who must bear the loss of one of their spiritual sons, for all of his dear brothers at seminary, and for his family during their time of unspeakable grief.
It is a beautiful gift to watch the Catholic Land Movement grow internationally. Each green dot is a chapter.
We are working through bottom up power to focus the Civic authorities on the Kingship of Christ.
