Research Update: The World’s First Private AI Agent Payment Settles on Canton
Last month, we announced fresh funding to a researcher at Cambridge University to support the development of a Canton-native standard protocol for AI agents - p402.
On April 23, the world’s first fully private AI agent settled its first transaction on @CantonNetwork, as a vital first step towards the construction of p402 itself.
p402 is a direct response to an issue raised by leading VC @a16z just days ago…
“There is still no broadly adopted, interoperable way for one agent to prove to another who it represents, what it’s allowed to do, and how it gets paid.”

Exclusive Fireside Discussion: Eric Saraniecki
We are proud to be joined by @wesarn_real, tomorrow evening, for an exclusive fireside discussion with Cantor8’s network of university partners - across Cambridge University, Oxford University, and Imperial College London.
Who is Eric Saraniecki…?
Eric is one of blockchain’s single most successful entrepreneurs and builders. After co-founding multi-billion dollar market maker @CumberlandSays, Eric went on to become a co-founder at @digitalasset and @CantonNetwork itself - the world’s leading blockchain by way of institutional adoption, made possible by its in-built privacy and compliance features.
As a result of his achievements, Eric is the ultimate authority on both Canton itself, and the institutional future of blockchain technology.
Though the event itself is open only to students and alumni from…
@camblockchains@iclblockchain@imperialaisoc@blockchainox
… we’ll be sharing recorded highlights and clips shortly after. So stay tuned for exclusive insights.
