@alyssia61028430@bloodyb81334071@dawnd3lion Censorship isn't just a different opinion in design tho? That censorship wave that happened was clearly pressure from the Vhinese government.
It's "we hate how fanservicey they are *AND* we hate governments that tell the devs how their characters should look."
@Mashimaro77@hoshinomiru_m Still doesn't oblige everyone to be familiar with it. You learned a local slang, good, but if you try to use it everywhere, don't be surprised when reactions are mixed. If you just told me you drank es-yen, I might genuinely believed you drank Est cola at first too.
@Mashimaro77@hoshinomiru_m Cuz it's not on every menu. I've lived in Thailand all my life and never seen a single "es-yen" on a menu. I've only heard it colloquially. You don't understand cuz you're putting expectations of a colloquial slang to the whole country. It doesn't work like that.
@Mashimaro77@hoshinomiru_m It's on menu of coffee shops but it's on on the menus of *every* coffee shop. If you go to a Starbucks, they are gonna be confused if you say es-yen at first. It's common doesn't mean everybody's gonna get it on your first try.
There's also Est cola to confuse it with.
@Mashimaro77@hoshinomiru_m Cuz it's less of a coffee slang and more of a different people group slang. Some people and some areas are more familiar with es-yen, while some others are just more used to espresso-yen.
There's also the fact that most people just don't expect foreigners to use es-yen.
@divisionknj@brinallanov@yrsacd Because "percentage of heat" is stupid the second you step out of America. If I told you right now Thailand is about 70% hot, it's not gonna be close to 70F, it's gonna be 90F.
@divisionknj@brinallanov@yrsacd This ain't it. Personal percentages doesn't work. What do u mean 70f is 70% hot n toasty when 21c is already pretty chilly for me. Mind you 88f/31c is a mildly warm evening where I live. Personal temp for Fahrenheit only works when you live in 4-season America.
@Acrux_Red@selfcestlesbian That is a valid complaint. I've expressed a similar sentiment as well, but questioning ZZZ's "Urban Fantasy" genre is not how you point it out.

@cherie_lite Seeing Remielle's modelled hair strands compared to something like Nicolle is a whiplash of polygon-creep.
I'm a little afraid if down the line ZZZ will follow its sister games' design criticism of outfit details for the sake of busy details rather than visible practicality.
@Acrux_Red@selfcestlesbian Do you just want 9 part Urban and 1 part Fantasy? Is all you want just a dirty New York street with a little bit of parlour magic?
The entire settings are in different modern cities, that's the definition of urban.
