@NEGOP@jaketapper@BrinkerHarding Omaha is tired of the current state and federal leadership. Nebraska district 2 is overdue for change. I, along with many metro voters, will be happy to vote blue in November.
@ArogersWright@NEGOP I agree the people, especially in population centers, are fairly progressive. The leadership is not. The people overwhelmingly support medical cannabis. Unfortunately, our leaders do not and don’t care what the people want. Right, left, middle - we should all be pissed.
@RhuleAid Good one. Trump is literally the worst president ever. Acts just like a dictator. Dictators put their names on buildings and currency, make up fake awards for themselves, control media narratives, and lie about/embellish their accomplishments.
@MrsErikaKirk In all honesty, most probably didn’t care. Some did, but most of us didn’t. But go ahead and make a big deal out of this to amplify a divided America - that is basically your job after all. It is crazy to me that people, like you, make money amplifying and perpetuating division.
@RhuleAid It will be interesting to watch come November. I don’t see Republicans winning in Douglas or Lancaster counties. Trump is so divisive and has alienated enough of the republican base that I would be surprised if Powell does not win district 2. I also think Osborne will do well.
@JayTC53@XolaniDube1878 People aren’t excited about Trump attending because he is DIVISIVE. If DT wants to go, that is his right. But as a New Yorker and a fan, SAS also has a right to say that Trump is a distraction and his presence will not be well received by fans.
@kate_p45 Maybe you have been manipulated. Have you personally seen any clear evidence of rigged elections? If there is some, nobody has come forward with it. Being in power is a dangerous thing. The founders knew this. I think the evidence shows that DT lies to keep/increase his power.
@NEGOP@BrinkerHarding Omaha is fired up to vote MAGA out of office. Failed experiment in politics. We need common sense people representing the state. Not people who will blindly follow Trumps orders.
@pneuma86@maga_alina47 I don’t get it with Trump followers. It was pretty straightforward line of questioning. Trump makes a claim. Similar claims made by Trump have not held up in American courts or have been dropped due to lack of evidence. Asked for evidence to support said claim. Trump gets mad.
@TeamPillen Remember when the state overwhelmingly voted in favor of medical cannabis? Then you decided that the wishes and opinions of the people were not important. We need a governor that understands that they work for the people.
@cb_doge X also allows bot accounts to peddle false and misleading information that creates extermists on both the right and the left. It is largely responsible for the nasty political rhetoric and the division of Americans against each other.
@nebrusskory@AngieLauritsen At least be genuine when you compare inflation numbers now vs Covid era. The crazy spike during the end of Trump’s first term and first couple years of Biden were due to the global pandemic and the fact that the government was printing money. US did far better than rest of world
@idbusa@MikeBales I wish that there was a way to mark accounts for peddling false information. Twitter is full of people like Mike who make completely false statements. Unfortunately, there are too many people that support twitter accounts that knowingly spread lies.
@OneSquirrelArmy@CWHerbster Not true. What exactly is Nebraska’s heritage? Immigrants from Czech, German, Polish, etc. I have no problem with rural people. Again, we appreciate everyone, especially the people out west.
@CWHerbster Maybe we should reconsider our stance on immigration. Immigrants have bolstered so many communities in Nebraska. The Trump rhetoric that villanizes immigrants is echoed by the leaders of this state. Smart paths to citizenship for our immigrants is the way we change our trajectory
@OneSquirrelArmy@CWHerbster Sorry, the blue dot is Nebraska. It represents the future. The rural communities are shrinking and the tax base along with it. In Omaha, we don’t subscribe to the poorly chosen state motto. We are open to everyone and appreciate strength in diversity.
@RhuleAid Haven’t Republicans been running this state for dozens of years? It seems we should give somebody else a shot. Budget deficits, high taxes, brain drain, no bid contracts, nepotism, Trump loyalists, inflation, etc. We can do better.
