There's millions of people who want to irresponsibly vote for Trump to "send a message" and then get liberals to protect them from the bad things Trump tries to do.
These idiots' lesson from 2016 is the libs will always protect them. But this time, we won't.
Most Trump supporters I talk to privately admit they support him while not wanting him to implement most of the policies he has proposed. Not only that but they acknowledge that most of his policies would be extremely damaging if implemented.
What kind of weird hypnosis is this?
@SER1897 He would have been fine if he'd just had a full night of sleep. Showed up and smiled at the camera and said "wow my opponent just said some crazy stuff about eating cats and dogs huh? Folks, I'm normal like you"
Trump was a mess in all the debates!
@bdquinn Same. I'm more technical than anyone else on my team. I'm not smarter, I simply have more time on task. So I end up making all the complex decisions myself. If AI allows me to fan out more then win/win.
" if you want to be independently wealthy in 5 years..."
Yes kids, as an adult you do in fact need to show up to work for more than 5 years.
Americans think of themselves as temporarily embarrassed billionaires.
harsh truth with personal finance:
if you make $500k/yr (objectively a high-earner) and live frugally, you still are only gonna be able to invest ~$200k-$300k of it.
taxes knock out 30%+ depending on where you live.
if you tithe, that's another 10%.
then maybe you live on $80k-$100k (only ~20% of your gross income).
you'll still do fine if you're looking at 20-30 years. but if you want to be independently wealth in 5 years or 10, you either need to increase income or have a sellable asset.
Biden wins in '24 if he just doesn't do that 1 stupid debate.
All his handlers were insane for having an 80 year old fly from Europe to a west coast fundraiser and then back to the east coast for marathon cramming sessions. In old days they'd commit sepuku for such negligence.
@CarefulTweeter I honestly have no clue why he picked Harris. The black community was already loyal to him. It's not like he needed help locking up California.
While I like Kamala a lot! She brought in zero constituency that he wasn't already going to win.
@Gunlord500@CrimsonZap6 Imagine if Biden had gotten out in front of it. Blaming Trump for inflation in 2021 the way Republicans blame everything on Dems. Instead his absolutely idiot staffers went with the "transitory inflation" fabrication that fucked us.
@stanleymwc@_johnsonator Every middle aged new Yorker eventually has to choose the good ending or bad ending. This is the bad ending. Don't let your friends choose the bad ending.
@Gunlord500 I agree his critical flaw was downplaying inflation instead of getting ahead of it.
I think swing voters always break late for the familiarity of the incumbent. And Trump offered literally nothing in the 2024 election. Nobody can even remember why they voted for him.
@GayBearRes@mountainwesttax I'm on the edge of my seat for the federal reserve's survey of consumer finances to release at the end of the year.
The only trustworthy picture of Americans finances.
