Reliable sources say Garreston pawned him off on his mom, didn't get him the recommended vet care, and he was in a kennel the last 10 days of his life while Garretson was on vacation. That everything was preventable had Garretson properly cared for him. #livepd #livepdnation

I just want to clarify that @sheriffchody had nothing to do with this tweet by @k9sofvalor. They are not affiliated with him in any way. It's sad, really, that it took an outside agency to pay tribute to one of our own and not a word from Chody or @DerekGarretson to honor Axel.
