@goattalkLA @KTLA Let me also follow up, retail rents aren't the only thing that hurt a business: insurance, crime, inflation...all factors. But when solving big problems, you have break things down to smaller problems linearly and then prioritize. Moving from one problem to the next.

@goattalkLA @KTLA The foundation of any local economy storefront business is: can it make more money than it costs to operate. If that foundational profit margin equation fails, then regardless of crime, the business is a no go. Right now retail rents are in no-go territory. Math.
