The very sovereignty of India will definitely come into question if the Central Government continues to allow an Indian state and its people to be kept under siege by foreign terrorists for more than a year and a half.

The sentiments of alienation, feelings of abandonment and the overall sense of being let down by the Central Government among the indigenous people of the state will have major ramifications in the future.

The question – “Are we really Indians?” will undoubtedly rise among the minds of Manipuris if the Centre turns a blind eye on the crisis and the rest of the nation remains oblivious to what is happening in the state.

I don't support any armed organisation. In theory I cannot agree to the existence of such groups. But I also understand the necessity of groups like Arambai Tengol in such times of crisis. Besides the fact that the State government has two cabinet ministers from the "Kuki" community, the head of that government has publicly declared that whatever it does is with the "consent" and "advice" of "Modi ji" and "Amit Shah ji" just as the Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah reciprocally declared emphatically on the floor of the Parliament that the State government is "cooperating" with its dictats!

Kuki MLA Paolienlal Haokip has openly admitted in his interview with Karan Thapar that six innocent Meitei civilians were brutally murdered by Kuki terrorists. His words not only expose his knowledge of this heinous act but also suggest his open support for these barbaric criminals.

As a representative in the Legislative Assembly, his stance is a disgrace to justice and humanity. By defending such brutality, he has proven himself unfit to hold any public office. Why is the state government still tolerating this? Why has he not been expelled as an MLA and brought to justice?

The law must act decisively—he deserves a punishment more severe than the terrorists he supports. Immediate action is demanded to ensure accountability.
