Let's be very clear on this one point.
The President mocking a former President in front of the communist leader of China is the most un-American thing an American president has ever done.
Rwanda - 1 million murdered
Cambodians - 2 million murdered
Holocaust - 6 million murdered
Great Leap Forward - 27m murdered
Armenians - 1.5 million murdered
Holodomor - 5 million murdered
Darfur - 400,000 murdered
Gaza - 30,000 civilians killed during a two year war
I’m having a hard time explaining the core problem with the Board of Peace. Maybe this will make it clearer.
The Board of Peace has no built-in protections against litigation or arbitration-type lawsuits.
In normal frameworks, state-to-state projects enjoy state immunity, private investments rely on contractual immunity, and UN projects enjoy absolute immunity. That immunity cascades down to everyone involved in the project, effectively closing off avenues for lawsuits.
The Board of Peace, as an international organization, has none of these protections. Any immunity it might claim would be decided on a case-by-case basis in each jurisdiction, and so far it does not enjoy immunity anywhere in the world.
The UNSC resolution is treated as global consent to the Board’s mandate. As an internationally backed mandate, operating through an international organization with legal personality, it creates legal reliance for participating parties and expectations from beneficiaries and investors. It assumes non-interference with its implementation by all parties involved, in particular Israel, and any action that could be framed as “harming” the project becomes potentially actionable.
That means affected parties can litigate and arbitrate for damages in civil and arbitration courts. For example, if Israel restricts cement entry, parties relying on that cement for Board of Peace projects to be successful could sue for damages and financial loses.
That is the core problem.
BREAKING: Footage of Tucker Carlson in the Ben Gurion Airport in Israel has been released (seen below).
He wasn't detained and merely went through routine processing. Here you see him smiling and hugging airport staff in a VIP lounge, contradicting his account.
Why does @TuckerCarlson always lie?
