@RealSimpleAriel It looks like the news didn’t have much of an impact on the market. The price has already filled the imbalance in oil that formed after the news broke.
@RealSimpleAriel The Russians are destroying civilian infrastructure. Bridges and power plants are being hit. Trump is pressuring Ukraine to capitulate.
@Muninn@Qullamaggie It seems that the foundation of the approaches used by these two outstanding traders was laid by William J. O’Neil. Zanger later developed and adapted many of O’Neil’s ideas into his own unique approach, particularly around chart patterns, volume, and breakouts.
@Muninn@Qullamaggie James, thank you for the wonderful article! It contains some ideas that are really worth thinking about.
Dan Zanger mentioned in an interview that he read William J. O’Neil’s How to Make Money in Stocks more than 35 times over a 6-year period. He considered it the “stock Bible.”
@usmanashraff Usman, thanks for your posts - they're very helpful.
I just wanted to let you know that I couldn't open the link in your bio. The https://t.co/cXPcYhXvUW page returns a 404 error for me.
Does it work on your end?
@TheOneLanceB AI recognition as a supplement to barcode scanning, combined with a 500-calorie deficit, is probably a great approach.
We tested using AI alone to estimate all meals, and the error margin was pretty large.
The trading analogy is excellent!
@TheOneLanceB Lance, you look really good for someone who relies on AI to estimate calories. MyFitnessPal is a great app, but I’m curious - do any fitness coaches actually get good results using its AI calorie estimator?
@markminervini@artisanwill12 We need to surpass the 1999 dot-com bubble high of 34 P/E (we’re only at 31 P/E now) and push the Buffett Indicator to 300.
@FiFiTrading Good point. Smart money didn’t spend six months distributing to retail just for a -10% move. We’re likely to see a retail bull trap first, then a move lower.
@SuperLuckeee Good data - but this is wars, not energy shocks.
Markets bottom early in typical conflicts. But an Iran + Hormuz scenario is different - it’s a global oil supply shock.
Think 1973: oil spike - inflation - tight policy - recession.
That’s how you get -40%+, not a normal war dip
@ohiain Your point is that you should only take a trade after doing proper analysis, and even then you only have a good probability - not a 100% guaranteed outcome. Is that the idea?
