Pleased to show @pollymm the teneral Red-veined Darter on its 3rd day. Naturally a few more photos were taken of it. Amazingly one shot doesn't show the bent abdomen. @BDSdragonflies@SussexWildlife
I've really enjoyed reliving my trip to Scotland with @bob_eade earlier this year, whilst going through the photos and writing my blog. Here's the last one about our time spent on #Mull

Yesterday I found a Red-veined Darter on my local patch. No camera though!! Doh. Still there today though, so a few shots. Damaged abdomen unfortunately. Teneral male I believe, so was it locally bred, or migrant? @BDSdragonflies@sdnpa@SussexWildlife
Here's a link to my latest blog, focusing on the wonderful #Otters that can be found on #Mull . @bob_eade and I had some truly memorable moments photographing these charismatic creatures! ๐

@Feargal_Sharkey@SouthernWater There's a water leak in Vale Road, in Seaford. Yes, Southern Water country, and it's been pouring water into the street for close to 4 weeks now, and possibly longer.
Plenty of 3rd brood Wall Brown action locally. Several females observed egg laying. This culvert has at least 6 eggs. Mating also seen in recent days. @SussexWildlife@BCSussex@savebutterflies@sdnpa
As well as 16 Poplar Hawk-moth larvae that are still feeding on the potted Willow, I have also had 3 Herald larvae this year. They have all pupated on the plant, and today, the 2nd one emerged. @BritishMoths@SussexWildlife@savebutterflies@BBCSpringwatch
A brief, but good visit to Old Lodge yesterday pm. A young Raft Spider and several Southern Hawkers seen. This male looked great on the flowering Heather. @SussexWildlife
The Poplar Hawk-moth larvae on my Willow have reduced a little in number from the original 17. Last night there were still at least 11. Yesterday I spotted this one in mid moult. The old skin, including the tail is behind him. @savebutterflies@BCSussex
If you've been following my recent blog, you'll know @bob_eade and I headed over to the Isle of #Mull next. First up on the island was a visit to Duart Castle with some fabulous insect and bird sightings:
