@victoriajane6 Hope you never have to experience this again but if possible Text BTP 61016 with the details and location and stress the urgency - I’ve done this before and they responded and attended at the next station very quickly 😊
@tomdon09@LNRailway@RMTunion Railways have always been massively reliant on OT so it’s a combo of both. I suspect not working your day off far outweighs the sickness excuse
@tomdon09@LNRailway@RMTunion ‘Lack of train crew’ = not volunteering for overtime and choosing to spend their day off however they see fit…just like everyone else
@gailyuk@LNRailway As are you posts - it’s the law and a matter for the police and you’re perfectly aware that and that they won’t do anything about it, but you are desperate for staff to become embroiled in a confrontational situation with no outcome..weird
@jimmayyyy698@NeallM@LNRailway Yes this exactly there are track sensors that relay the line change but it doesn’t get relayed in enough time to update everyone and the conductor is the last to know and won’t be aware that it’s a last minute platform change rather the booked platform 😕
@damonc81 @slowbikeiain It’s been purchased with a warrant (the ‘w’ denotes that)and the clerk has to issue exactly what the warrant says or it’s void. Whoever issued the warrant needs to do their homework 🧐 or better yet the dft needs to overhaul the whole ticketing system
@StGeorge_____ @slowbikeiain It’s been purchased with a warrant and the clerk has to issue exactly what the warrant says or it’s void. Whoever issued the warrant needs to do their homework better 🧐
@SamRoddis@LNRailway Has been this way for years the reason being that MKC has competition with avanti and they both reduce the fares to attract customers same applies to rugby & Coventry. Just like LBZ Northampton and all other stations are only served by Lnw and are in the same situation.
@SPAWN_UKUK @kiranbahra37@WestMidRailway A train guard cannot issue penalty fares only sell tickets under the above circumstances and if they have a machine that is working. Revenue protection will issue penalty fares either onboard or at the gate line. It’s clearly stated at all stations 🙂
@LewisFeilder@LNRailway Senior conductors cannot fine anyone and are not trained to do so. They can ask them to move and if they refuse then there’s very little can be done. The revenue protection staff issue fines - unfortunately there isn’t enough of them on this route 😔
@AndrewH65827899@LNRailway True but company won’t want the service delayed as it will result in costs and usually fare dodger refuses to move so guard can’t hold train to wait for BTP. Company will say guard is in a confrontational situation and must walk away. So honest get penalised 😠
@AndrewH65827899@LNRailway Conductors on trains cannot issue fines only check purchased tickets or sell the appropriate one if there was no facilities to purchase prior to boarding - they don’t have the authority or training. Only revenue protection inspectors can issue these fines.
