@JoshBoersen@SteveMcCabe73 Registration for the right of way/easement does not automatically transfer upon sale of the property, and can be removed by the new purchaser as you have discovered. Not a neighbourly thing to do, but not illegal.
@rhofford A lot of posters here are missing the fact that these are cost SHARE initiatives. The government is not covering 100% of the project. The producers are still out of pocket for the lion's share of the project.
@BrettRace@rhofford It's not a 100% coverage of cost by the government. It's a cost SHARE initiative. Depending on the project the government usually covers 10% to 35% and the producer pays the rest.
@Kotyjo Likely someone who has a few thousand (or more) acres paid for and is working on the law of averages. If for every acre they pay $200 rent for they have an acre bought and paid for, the average cost per acre is only $100. Farm more acres, make the same money in the end.
@EricPankratz@Kotyjo I've been hearing that a crash is coming "next year" for 25+ years. Never happens. Too much quota, old/old country money in the game for a significant crash to happen.
@SuperMikhail1@Mochapup44 South Western Ontario is in the $300-$500/acre rent range. Eastern Ontario will not be as high as South Western Ontario, but if you are only getting $50/acre you're getting screwed, even in Eastern Ontario.
@clintwfischer Here in SW Ontario 750 acres of workable land would run $15 million+, and the return from crops would only cover maybe 1/2 the mortgage if lucky. You would have to have one heck of an off farm job to float $15 million in mortgages.
@JLepelaars A lot of pig and dairy farmers selling out to other pig and dairy farmers and then building broiler barns...less work for a better return (than pigs anyway)..as long as you already own land and have the several million to build the barn and buy the quota
@hagerty125@JohnDeere The 220R would be more of a direct replacement for the H130. The 2016 and older Gen 1 2025Rs were more of a larger frame tractor like the older 2320 tractors, vs the smaller 2017 and newer Gen 2 2025Rs
@hagerty125@JohnDeere JD Parts lists mounting brackets for 2025R MY2016 and older under the 220R loader. So if you have an older 2025R may need to go up to the 220R.
@steve_m_bees @OntAg@HandsorPaige It's swampy, currently 0 acres workable, needs significant clean up of thorn trees, scrub brush and weeds, land leveling and $2000/acre tiling
@Shawridgefarm Was for sale for all of last year at $975,000. Now listed online at $825,000 but I got a mailer showing it listed at $710,000. Crazy price, needs clean up off all dcrub trees and weeds + $2,000/acre tiling.
@JoshBoersen By law in Ontario drivers must attend an instructional school and perform a set number of classroom hours and practical hours with a certified instructor to receive the A portion. Z endorsement can be done in 2 day course before A.
