It’s a painful and seemingly distant memory to recollect Ramadan two years ago. Despite living under oppression, apartheid rule, and a nearly 20 year long air, land, and sea blockade, families in Gaza at least broke fast together and prepared for Eid. Now, Iftar meals are made with what few items are left in the market.

Yesterday, Tramslating Falasteen (@translatingpal) x The Sameer Project supplied 100 Iftar meals of rice to families in Al-Zahra School in Gaza City. We also baked 2,300 loaves of bread in Jabalia. May the intentions and prayers heard during these last few nights of Ramadan bring calmness and plentifulness to Gaza in the year to come and for years in the future.
