@JSheltzer@ScienceMagazine Great to see an old hypothesis being put to the test in such an elegant way. Congratulation to everyone involved!
What happens to mdm4 Protein levels after removal of the triploid 1q?
@drjohnm I agree 100% with your analysis.
Just one thought about the wording: Do we actually "know" it can only reduce stroke and bleeding? What about microemboli to the kidneys, spleen, ... which could - theoretically - also translate to a mortality benefit

I’d estimate at least 99.9% of all the twitter takes I’ve read about RCTs on mask use or this new Cochrane review are abysmally wrong
“We don’t need RCTs we have physics”
And
“See, proof masks do NOTHING”
Will generate lots of likes and RT and are both excruciatingly false
@VPrasadMDMPH Also kind of frustrating to discuss plans for surgery with someone not being the actual surgeon in the end for an elective procedure ... is this also commonplace in the US?
@AndrewFoy82@MRuzieh I see. Nevertheless, I think this triangulating approach is really useful to test ones hypothesis in observational research! So kudos to you!
@DanielWefers@UniHalle Super Artikel!
@TimoRoettger Clear and concise explanation of an much underappreciated skill. Have just shared this video with current ECRs in our lab and will do so with future ones!
Glad to have been a (small) part of this important work!
Reading recommendation for everyone planning to implement robust research practices in his/her own work!
