“I found them again and am delighted,” says the mother.
The @ICRC reunited children with their mother separated due to the conflict in #Tigray region.

What so many Lebanese and Israeli families had feared for months has now become a tragic reality.

Civilians must be protected.
#dkaid
Very important article: resistance agsinst the brutality and land grabbing of rsf emerges independent if the Armed Forces whose weakness in defending Sudan is a result of a combination of lack of capacity, lack of legitimacy and political capture by kizan.

#dkpol #dkaid
🚨 The @IFRC joins @AfricaCDC in expressing deep concern over the sharp rise in MPOX cases across Africa. We are committed to supporting governments in scaling up response efforts. A statement from @IFRCAfrica Regional Director, @MukhieOmer. https://t.co/zeJG6XCkgf
African youth prefer democracy to any kind of authoritarian alternative but are more likely than their elders to be dissatisfied with the way democracy works in their countries, Afrobarometer’s inaugural flagship report shows.

Due to the flooding during the March-May rains and the El Niño-induced rainfall late last year, many water systems in Tana River County were destroyed.
Through an Emergency Response Unit Programme funded by the Norwegian Red Cross through the @IFRC, we drilled, solarized and rehabilitated boreholes and other water systems affected by the floods.
Here is one of the boreholes in Makere, Galole Sub County, that was drilled and solarized. It now serves community members, approximately 700 households, a school and a dispensary.
Over the weekend, our Emergency Action Team (EAT) in Old Fangak unit, Jonglei State helped community members evacuate to the higher ground after heavy rainfall broke the dyke causing flooding that affected households in the area.

The ‘ungoverning’ of Kenya
Since the beginning of antigovernment protests in June, Kenya is living through a period of ungoverning, in which institutions and rules are being undermined by the state itself.

#dkaid

PRESS RELEASE: Famine (IPC Phase 5) Confirmed in #Sudan’s Zamzam IDP Camp in Al Fasher

📍 Sudan | We are deeply concerned about the increase in direct attacks on the health facilities and medical missions in #Sudan, especially in Al-Fashir. 👇🏽
#dkaid#dkmedier
